Making pizza.

Picking up blocks. Daddy was throwing them to make the bucket.

I thought it was cute how Adam had his hands behind his head while being changed.

Adam reading.

Jacob hooking up his water pump truck.

Around 11:30 last night Adam started crying and calling for me. I went into his bedroom to check on him and patted his back for a few minutes. He started crying as soon as I left the room. The cry didn’t sound like his normal cry so I went back to him. I picked him up and he clung to me tightly and asked, “Rocker?” I rocked him for a while before tucking him back in bed. He soon started crying again and calling, “Mommy, Mommy, Daddy.” We decided to bring him into our bed for the night. He soon fell asleep and we found out that he is quite the mover in his sleep. I didn’t sleep well last night. Around 6:30 I got up to exercise and moved Adam into his crib. Jacob woke up shortly before 8am. I finished a 30 minute run. Adam woke up at 8:30. I woke Jared up at that same time. The boys ate breakfast at their little table while watching Clifford. We got home from church around 11am. The boys enjoyed making their own individual pizza’s for lunch. Daddy got out the fire truck playhut and they had fun with that. Jacob played with the pizza boxes and pretended to be deliveryman. Daddy would make the pizza and then have Jacob deliver it to me. After I paid him and ate my pizza Jacob would come back for the box. He told Daddy he was taking it to the recycling bin. Adam jumped on the bed while singing his dinosaur song. I pretended to be sleeping on the bed and Adam said, “Wake up Mommy!” Lately if Adam doesn’t get his way about something he rubs his eyes while whining, “Tired Mommy.” Adam asked Daddy to bring out the Little People toys and barn. He played with them for a while. Jacob and Daddy played with the fire truck and tunnel. I worked on cleaning the boy’s closets and putting away laundry. We got out the foam blocks to play with. As I went to get the boys their afternoon snack Adam said, “Blocks way (away).” He pushed the container around and helped pick up the blocks. We read books. I tucked Adam in around 3pm for a nap. He fell asleep quickly. Jacob rested for a short time in his bedroom before going outside with Daddy. I did a 30 minute run. Jacob wanted to come back inside. He had fun with playdoh. He made a school bus with lots of people. He also made a cake and sang happy birthday to me. Then he wrapped me a present. As I opened it up he said, “Its fred (thread)! Make something out of it.” I made a hat. Then he made a snake, which became headphones as he put it on his head. Jacob said, “Mommy you a lady and we a man. Daddy’s a man too.” Jared worked on burning the ditch and digging holes for new fence posts. Jacob and I went outside. It was a cold and windy day. Jacob had fun bouncing on the old fence. I took care of the animals. Adam woke up around dinnertime. After dinner Daddy and the boys went down into the crawlspace. The boys liked playing in the sand. Adam enjoyed showing me the rocks he'd found. This evening Adam climbed into an empty box with a stick and a book to read. He looked so cute. Jacob hooked the box up to some other ride on toys and said it was a water pipe truck. He explained to us how it worked. The boys played in the tub until bedtime.

Once again...their Grandma R thinks the Michigan twosome are quite the grandsons. Nice to see how the two incorporate their brother relationships into their day. Jacob quite the big brother reading a dinosour book to his little brother and Adam just taking it all in, rocking in the box and having great fun with his brother.
