The boys showing me their yoga moves.

Around 10:30 we headed over to Mom's house. We picked up Mom and then drove to Granpa's to get him. We went to a couple places to get seeds for our gardens. Grandpa really wanted honeyrock melons seeds but they didn't have them at either place. We sure did laugh when Grandpa told us he "fixed the problem" of wanting to watch two television shows (American Idol and Dancing with the Stars) which come on at the same time. He said he brought the little tv from his bedroom and put it next to his big tv. He's so funny! We got back to his house around noon and went inside to visit for a little while. The boys had fun playing with Grandpa's toys. Dad also stopped by for a visit. Mom brought out Grandpa's puppy to show the boys. It is battery powered to make it look liked its breathing and it looks real. Jacob sure was surprised when Nana showed him the on/off button. Papa got some good giggles out of the boys. We went back to Nana's house for lunch. Mom and I made a fruit salad which was really good. Then I trimmed Mocha while Mom and the boys went to play in the basement. I could hear them having so much fun downstairs. I also heard alot of singing from Nana:) Around 3pm I read with Adam and then lay him down for a nap. Jacob watched Curious George. I left to do some grocery shopping at Aldi's. Vikki and Kenzie were at Mom's when I got back and Mom had left to pick up Grandpa. Jared got there soon after I did. While I did a 30-min run Vikki, Kenzie, and Jacob kept me company. Adam woke up just as we were about to eat dinner. He didn't want to eat yet. After dinner we took the boys downstairs to play. Mom and Dad left to take Grandpa home and then went to a funeral showing. Jared had to leave around 6:45 so he could get home in time for his class. Vikki and I had fun with the kids and visiting with each other. We got home around 8pm. The boys and I took care of the animals. This evening Jacob was showing me his yoga moves. I laughed as Adam tried to do them too. They were tucked in bed by 9pm.

Cleaning the tank sides with the magnetic cleaner.

Mr. Potato heads

"Hi, I'm Grandpa with a beard."

"Take a picture of my owie."

I got up around 6am. Jacob woke up at 8am and Adam was up soon after that. When I walked into Adam’s bedroom he said, “Wake Mommy!” The boys ate breakfast at their little table. The dogs were begging for their food so Jacob got up and pretended to stick a sign in the ground. He said, “This sign says no dogs can come in here.” We watched Bob the Builder because our PBS station hasn't been coming in. As Adam looked at some little cards I heard him saying, “Kenny’s (Kenzie) here, Bippi’s here, Rau-ees (Rody’s) here.” He got out his cars and the racetrack to play with. Jacob saw him playing and asked, “You want me to play with you Adam?” After a while Adam put all the cars away on his own and then asked for help getting out his tools. This morning I worked on dusting and vacuuming the house. Jacob saw how full the canister was and said, “Whoa, that was dirty. You cleaned up all that dirt. That’s crazy.” Jacob said, “I’m very gentle with glass. Let me show you” and he picked up the glass frame very gently. We had fun with the Mr. Potato head’s until lunchtime. Adam thought it was funny when I held the mustache up to my mouth and talked silly. He handed me different ones and said, “Maau-staaa (mustache).” Jacob said his dog (invisible) was lost and he searched for it with a flashlight. His dog ate lunch with us. Jacob said, “We gotta get some dog food, tend (pretend) dog food” as he grabbed a handful of Potato head pieces (dog food) and put it in a bowl (hat). After lunch we went outside. We had fun playing on the hay deck. Adam pretended the hay bales were stairs. We all had fun playing house in the hay. Adam liked handing me handfuls of hay (food) or getting me drinks. After we’d pretend to eat it Adam would say, “All gone. More Mommy?” Jacob said all the spaces between the hay bales were cat holes. He liked deciding where the couch, bed, chairs, or cupboards were in our “house.” Adam told me he was going to be careful as he walked up the steps and Jacob told him, “Don’t bleed your nose.” I gave the boys (and Tiger) a wagon ride. We’d have to stop occasionally to fill up with gas. Jacob put some water in their buckets and they had fun adding rocks (seeds) to them. We went back inside at snack time. As they ate their snacks we read some books. I lay Adam down for a nap. Jacob rested while playing with his cars and looking at books. After he was done resting he and I had fun playing with flour and cars on the counter. We used tp tubes for rollers to smooth out the roads. Then He'd put some flour in the tube and he'd back up the truck and say, "Fill it up." Jared got home shortly after 5pm. As he walked in the door Jacob said, “Hi Love.” He sounded just like me and thats what I was just about to say. Adam woke up and we all went outside. Adam and I went to play in the hay. Soon Daddy and Jacob came to find us. They showed us the snake they’d found. Jacob loved holding it. He carried it as we all walked back to the ditch to let it go. Daddy caught another snake (they’d seen 3 total). Jacob scooped water in his bucket and made mud in the garden. He sure got muddy. When he saw the ducks in the pond he said, “Look at his green head. He’s a maa-ward (mallard) duck.” The ducks flew away when the boys got too close. We threw some corn in for them to eat when they come back. We went inside for dinner. After dinner Jared and I were relaxing together on the couch. We were well entertained by the boys. They were going down the slide on each other backs as they lay on their belly's. Jacob then put his swimming suit on and went for a swim. Adam hit around the orange with his “bowing sing (bowling thing – actually the Stars hockey stick).” Jared then played some Wii Tennis. He and I played a game of bowling. The boy played with their barn in the hallway. They were tucked in bed by 9pm. Jared and I watched 24.

Jacob practicing to hop on one foot.

I got up around 6:30 to do my exercises. Jacob woke at 7:00. He had wet the bed. I changed him into some dry clothes and tucked him in bed with Daddy. Around 8am he came out asking for breakfast. Jared and Adam were up around 8:30. After church we did a little shopping at a few different stores. We needed a few groceries and also wanted to get heat lamps and bulbs for the chicks that are coming soon. On the drive home Jacob said, “Look, my owie is tons better. It jumped off my arm and started to run away.” It was almost 1pm when we got home. The boys made their own individual pizzas for lunch. Adam was playing with the Toot and Puddle game. As he moved the pig he'd count, “One, one, one” or “One, two, two, two.” Adam’s favorite toys to play with lately are his “Teals (tools).” He enjoys pretending to work on water pipes and tells me, “Water on Mommy.” He also likes screwing in the screws and hammering the nails. Jacob asked Daddy to play Mario. The boys enjoyed watching him play Mario Kart. Around 2:30 I tucked Adam in for a nap. I did a 30-min run. Adam talked a lot but never did go to sleep. At 4pm we all went outside. We are getting stalls ready for the chicks. As Daddy climbed in the rafters above the stalls, Adam said “Toe-full (careful) Daddy.” Jacob liked helping Daddy from in the stall and many times reminded him, “Safety first.” The boys had fun shoveling and raking in the barn. Jacob worked on filing up the back of his ride on truck with sawdust and hay from the barn floor. Adam and I went up to play on the hay deck. Jacob came over crying and he had a bloody nose. He showed us that he was pushing the rake and as it got stuck the handle came back and hit him in his nose. He said, “I wanna show Nana.” We went inside so I could call Nana and tell her what had happened. He didn’t want to talk but several times asked, “What’d she say?” This evening it snowed some. Adam pointed out the window and said, “No (Snow) out dere (there)!” The boys played a lot with their tools. Jacob pretended to be Daddy and asked me to be Nana. He said, “And I have a Daddy at pretend work”(Daddy was pretending to be working). Jacob tried to tell a joke (from on Bob the Builder) and asked me, "How can you tell if a elephant's been in your fridge? By the butter (means by the footprints in the butter)." The mallard ducks were in our backyard “pond” this evening. Jacob helped me peel eggs for Daddy’s lunch. He liked when I cut around the whites and let him pull off the top to see the yoke. We had to do this for all the other eggs. Adam enjoyed this too. Jacob mashed up the eggs, added mayo, and stirred it all up to make egg salad. Adam pushed his animals and blankets around in the shopping cart. Jacob sat at the counter and looked at Daddy’s ratchet tool set. The boys played in the tub until pj time. They had fun running around in their robes. Jacob was saying, "Watch out choo choo train!" as they ran in a circle. Adam said, "Chout train train!" I love listening to Adam talk about what we did today. He usually starts off saying, "Nana's house" with a smile. I'll asks him questions to get him to talk about our day. I asked him what he did in church today and he replied, "Had a nack (snack), cackers too.” Jacob showed me that his nose wasn't bleeding anymore and said, "I told you in five weeks it would feel better. I told you that." His favorite bedtime story lately is "The Ugly Duckling." The boys were tucked in bed by 9:30.

Adam getting closer.
Closer.
"Couch!"

I got up around 6:15 to exercise. Jacob had crawled into bed with us around 5:30. He continued sleeping with Daddy. At 8am I woke Adam up and then he helped me wake Daddy and Jacob. After breakfast we headed into town for drinks and donuts. Then we went to Salvation Army. Mel and Bruce met us there around 10am. We are watching Hailey and Max while they go and get their new puppy. The kids were all excited to see each other. Jacob still had some of his donut left in the car and he wanted to share it with everybody. When I handed Max his piece he said, “Your nice to me.” He said this to me several times today and its so sweet. We then took the kids to play at the wood park. When Jacob saw where we were he said, “Oh the wooden playground!” The kids had a great time running around and playing there. When we got home I gave Max a haircut. He was so good for it and didn’t complain at all. When I was finished I told him he did excellent. He said, “Did you say I did excellent, did you?” The kids had fun on the slide and playing the piano. After lunch we picked up toys and then went outside. Jared held Lockjaw (the goat) while I trimmed her hooves. Hailey and Max watched for a while and then went to play with Jacob and Adam in the paddock. I pulled the boys around in the wagon. They filled the wagon with hay. Hailey liked holding Tiger (the cat). She asked me if she could ride Sammy. She said, “Sammy is a nice horse but Nutmeg is kinda crazy.” Jared took the boys over to play on the fort. Max loved going down the curley slide. After Hailey was done riding the horse she went to play with the boys. Jacob fell off the steps to the fort and hurt his foot. While we were looking at his foot Max fell into the water in the dug sand pit. I took him in the house to change him and soon everyone came inside. It was 2:30. The kids had a snack and then I read some books to the boys. Then I tucked Max and Adam in for naps. Hailey and Jacob played at the counter with playdoh. I did a 30-min run. Jared went outside to take care of some things out there. Hailey asked if they could watch Cars. Mel and Bruce got here around 4:30. Hailey was very excited to see her new puppy. She and Jacob enjoyed holding the puppy as they sat on the couch. Hailey and Jacob wrapped her up like a baby in a blanket. Soon Adam and Max were awake. Max loved his puppy and held her. Adam didn’t want to hold her until I held her. Then he said, “Couch” and climbed on the couch to hold the puppy. Mel and her family headed home around 5:30. After dinner Adam and I went outside to take care of the animals. Jacob played at the counter with flour and some cars. Adam played with the flour for a little while and then asked to get down. Jacob and Daddy had fun playing Toot and Puddle. The boys were tucked in bed by 9pm.
