Adam was a little fussier than his usual self today. He did sleep long enough for me to take Jacob outside and push him on the swing. I pick some weeds out of the garden while Jacob played in his sand. He brought a bucket with sand over to his pool and said, "Please, please". He wanted dump the sand into the pool. In the late afternoon Adam took a long nap. Made sloppy joes and tater tots for dinner.

After getting the boys ready this morning I headed over to my Mom's house to spend the day with her and Kenzie. We went to my Grandpa's house for a couple hours to spend some time with him. Jacob loves Grandpa. Grandpa calls him his "sleeping buddy". He and my Grandpa used to sleep in the car while waiting for my Grandma to get done with her appointments. Jacob is always talking to him (even though he can't hear well) and sharing his m&ms (which Grandma always kept in the candy jar) with him. I took Jacob's little blow up pool over there so Grandpa could sit on the porch and watch the kids playing in the water. Jacob had more fun scooping the water from the pool into a pail I set next to it. The water was really warm and Kenzie had me dump a couple buckets over her head. Adam slept most of the visit. This evening we took Mykenzie and the boys to a Bible camp carnival. Kenzie's parents were both working so we got to take her. It was alot of fun - she had 60 tickets to use. She got her nails and face painted and played lots of games. She also shared some of her tickets with Jacob. He had a blast jumping around and it seems his "wild side" came out. He was acting really silly in that jumping thing and had so much fun. Just a blast to watch. Kenzie and Uncle Jared went through an obsticle course and had a race to the end. Just before leaving Kenzie climbed a wall and made it all the way to the top (pictured on her blog).

Jacob was playing on his tractor, riding around the kitchen. I moved things around so he could do circles around the table. He would do a circle, come over to where the carpet starts, and get off the tractor. He'd walk over to Jared or I and say, "I'm back", then he'd walk away saying "bye bye". I'd ask where he was going and he would reply, "Nana, Gama". He did this several times. This evening we went outside so Jacob could play. We pushed him on the swing but he soon wanted down to climb the fort with Daddy. He and Daddy drove the wheels for a bit and then slide down the slide. At the bottom of the slide a huge spider crawled over Jared's leg - he and Jacob had fun watching it. Then Jacob ran over to the sand and played on his truck. I picked some weeds from the garden and it was wet enough from the rain not to need watering. I took the boys into Jared's workshop where he was working on a project. Jacob ran in and grabbed a piece of wood. He hit the floor with it and said, "I bang".

This morning I gave Jacob a empty coffee can, some cheerios and his toy tractors to play with at the table. He had lots of fun scooping up cheerios and dumping them in the can. I took Adam to his bedroom to change his diaper and Jacob ran into his bedroom. He wanted me to come in there and asked me to put Adam on his bed. He climbed up next to him and then decided to use Adam's arm as a phone. I went shopping this morning at Salvation army. I found out they have really small carts for two kids. The carseat with Adam wouldn't fit in the cart, so I had to set his carseat on the handles and Jacob in the basket. It was hard for me to see Jacob so I pulled the cart from the front. I gave Jacob a couple books to look at while I was shopping and Adam slept the whole time. Found some good shirts and couple pair of jeans for Jacob for 50 cents a piece. Also found a nice 5 x 7 frame. Jacob had a bolonie and cheese sandwich for lunch. He likes to take it apart and eat it all separate. He took his cheerios out of the coffee can and put one piece on each piece of his sandwich and said, "Mama look". Had a thunder storm while Jacob was laying down for his nap. He called me in the room and said, "Mama, dat" while pointing at the window. I told him that was thunder, gave him a kiss, and told him night night. He said, "Night night, love you". He slept for a couple hours. I went in his room and he pointed at the window and said, "tunder".

After breakfast this morning Jacob got on his tractor. Then he got off, kissed both Adam and I and climbed back on saying, "bye bye, Lailey, Maa, Bru, Me Me" over and over. He got off and sat down by Adam and showed him how to give high fives. Then it was time to get out his cars. He put them all on his blanket and tried to carry them over to the couch but most of them fell out. I helped him put them back onto his blanket and we carried them over to the couch together. While playing with his vehicles he is always making car sounds or crashing sounds. During lunch I looked out our kitchen window and saw a couple turkey in the back yard. I lifted Jacob up to see them and he made a turkey sound. Jacob went back to his lunch and asked me to sing a song about eating. This afternoon Jacob climbed up on the couch and watched a big bug crawling up the screen. He was saying, "Bug, down bug". I set Adam in the rocker and Jacob climbed up next to him. Jacob said, "Mama ting, night night". So I made up a song for him about going night night. When I'd stop singing, he'd say, "Mama ting, night night" again. I made out a list of thing to take on our camping trip coming up in a few weeks. It was over 90 degrees outside when Jared got home from work. He and Jacob went for a swim. Jacob got some swimmies for his arms that we call his muscles. He loves them and flexes his arms like they are his muscles. We've got to get him some water toys cause he loves to play with these two sticks and can get pretty wild splashing around with them. He was having Daddy drum on the pail and watering can while he played them drum with his sticks. He'd sing, "La la la la" but mostly just wanted Daddy to sing. He would do the animal sounds to Old McDonald had a farm. We went inside for dinner and then I went back out with Jacob and the dogs to water the garden. Jacob got really dirty and had lots of fun. He went over to his playfort and climbed up to the top. I went up with him and he wanted me to drive the blue wheel while he drove with the red wheel. He was making car sounds and wanted me to also.

It was a hot 90 degrees outside today. Jacob's pool was warm and he had lots of fun playing in it. He would splash the water with a stick and say, "a bee, a bee" then he would say, "I got it, I got it". This evening Jacob asked Daddy, who was holding Adam, "I ho ho". He wanted to hold Adam and then he wanted Daddy to set him on the back of his tractor so he could give him a ride. He also likes to help Adam clap his hands. We went into town to get a few things and Jacob was excited because he thought we were going to Nana's house. When it is time for bed Jacob goes up to Adam and has to give him a kiss right on his lips. Right now Jacob is in his bedroom talking and singing. He is saying, "Hi Lailey, Hi Me Me".

Jacob came and crawled in bed with us this morning. He didn't lay there for long - he ran out to the family room and brought his cars back to our bedroom. He dumped the cars out on our bed. While both boys were asleep, Jared and I went outside to set up our tent. Jacob woke up and I brought him out with us. He liked going in the tent. I tried to take Jacob in the pool but today he didn't want anything to do with that.

The last couple nights Adam has slept ~9 hours, waking only once for a 15 minute feeding. After our Sat am donuts we went to Home Depot to pick up wood for a project of Jared's. When we were leaving we noticed they were doing carseat checks in the parking lot and I wanted to get ours checked. We called my Mom to let her know and she came to have her carseat checked. When we got home Jared worked on his project and I took Jacob in the pool for a swim. It was in the shade and the water was very cold. Jacob still had fun splashing around in it. I picked some weeds in the garden while Jacob played on his truck. We went inside for lunch. I read some books to Jacob before his nap and he showed me a book that he had bitten the corner off of during yesterdays nap. He pointed at it and said, "I bite". When I told him not to bite his books he said, "I sorry, I sorry". While he was laying down, I took Adam out to the barn to watch Jared at work. This evening we had a family gathering because my Aunt is visiting from out of state. We sat up our lawn chairs in the shade and had a really nice visit. Jacob had fun playing in the dirt and Adam got passed around. Jacob especially enjoyed playing with Max's toy tractor. He and Max had fun watching the neighbor racing his gas-powered remote control car around. Hailey didn't like the load noises it made. We left there around 9pm and joined Vikki and Rody fishing off the Tridge. We weren't getting any bites, so we moved to a different spot off the bridge. We still didn't get any fish but had fun trying. Jacob liked throwing the rocks in the water best.

This morning Jacob crawled up by Truman and we watched the video of him swimming a couple days ago. Truman lay his head on Jacob's shoulder and I had to get a picture. It was a nice, cool morning. The phone rang when I was nursing Adam and I asked Jacob to bring it to me. He got the phone and answered it himself saying, "Hi". It was Aunt Bippi - he talked to her for a bit and then brought the phone to me. After lunch we went outside and Jacob helped me dump buckets of water from his little pool onto the garden. Then he dumped some water on himself and said, "Uh Oh". He ran over to his truck and played on it and also played with the rocks. He loves to show me his rocks. Inside Jacob played with his cars. He put them all on his blanket and pulled them around the house. Then he shoved his blanket into his dump truck and pushed it around. He still loves riding around on his tractor and pretends the keys to his Dr. kit go to the tractor. He rides around and says, "I drive". Later I let him play in the sink with a cup and his boat from Copper Harbor. He had so much fun with that cup and the running water. When Jared got home from work went to walk around downtown and took Jacob to play at the playground. Jacob had more fun putting wood chips on the balance beam and then brushing them off. This evening Jacob came over to me and said, "Night night, mama come, come". I followed him into Adam's room where Daddy and the dogs were laying. He layed down and wanted me to also. We lay there and pretended to snore - Jacob thought that was funny. Tonight Jacob lay on the couch and we put in a cartoon to watch. I sat next to him with Adam. We turned it off and I read to him. He pointed next to him and wanted Daddy to sit there. When we were done with that book he ran to his bedroom to get another book - on his run back he hit his head hard on the fooseball table which knocked him to the ground. Now he had a bump on his forehead between his eyes.

This morning I got the boys ready and headed over to my Grandpa's house. I groomed his dog for him with Kenzie's help. Mom watched Adam and Jacob. I took the bbq chicken and corn-on-the-cob from dinner for my Grandpa to eat for lunch. Grandpa said, "It was good, the only thing wrong with it was there was too much chicken". He had to put some in the fridge for later. After I was done with the dog he jumped up on Grandpa's lap and they both fell asleep. Jacob ate his lunch while I fed Adam. Then Mom, Kenzie, the boys and I headed over to pick up Adam's pictures. We stopped at Meijer and Kenzie and I went in to get diapers and a few groceries. Back at Mom's house I lay Jacob down for a nap and fed Adam. My mom permed my hair while the kids were napping. Jacob never did fall asleep. Adam slept til about 5 minutes before Mom was done with my hair. Mom went up to get Jacob and brought him down. He saw the rollers in my hair and didn't know what to think. I asked him to come over to me and he burst out crying for Nana. He wouldn't come by me until the rollers were out. He didn't even want Papa to take him outside - just wanted Nana to hold him. Once my hair was done he was happy again. Kenzie is staying with us tonight. On the way home I realized we had forgotten Jacob's favorite blanket. I was only about 5 minutes away so we headed back to get it. When we got home Kenzie read her bible. Then we went outside and Jared built a fire in the backyard. I brought Jacob's truck over and he put sticks in the back of it. Jacob then wanted me to fill the sprinkling can with water. He carried it back to the truck and we showed him how to pour it out. I carried Adam in the carrier and he fell asleep.

This morning I got Jacob's breakfast ready and then went over to take pictures of Adam. I came back in to Jacob and he was pointing at him self saying, "Me". When I asked him if he wanted me to take his picture, he nodded and smiled. Jacob enjoyed watching Mr Roger's this morning, especially when he pulled out the blocks and a truck. Adam has been full of smiles in the mornings. He was a little fussy this morning but he did sleep for ~30 min. so I took Jacob outside for a bit to play and I watered the garden and filled up his little pool so it could warm up in the sun today. I look forward to next summer when Adam will be old enough for sunscreen and I can take them both out to play. I lay Jacob down for a nap and then got a call from my sister Melissa that they were nearby and wanted to come visit. I decided to get Jacob up cause I knew he would be excited to see them. When they got here he ran over to the couch to look out the window. Then he ran to the door and excitedly said hi. Jacob saw Max going to get on his tractor and he pushed him away. When I corrected him and told him he needed to share his tractor he ran over by the piano and pouted. He looked so sad and he ran to me for comfort. Soon he was OK and happy to get down and play with other things. I went in the crawl space and got out Jacob's 12-18 month clothes for Mel to go through for Max. We put the boys in swimming trunks and Hailey in an outfit of Jacob's and took them outside. Adam went for a ride in the stroller. Mel and I got in with the kids who were all tall enough to walk around with their heads out. Jacob and Max both took a couple of falls under the water but it wasn't enough to slow them down any. They had so much fun. Adam started to fuss so I got out to hold him and the kids played in the little pool. Jacob and Max were tired so we lay them down for naps before dinner. Jared brought home chicken, brats, chips, and corn on the cob for a cookout. Max didn't sleep long and when Mel went in to get him, she found him laying on the floor. He had crawled out of the playpen. We went back outside after dinner. I got Sammy out of the paddock so Hailey and Max could sit on him. They were a little scared up on that tall horse but we did get some pictures. Bruce caught a moth and the kids had fun looking at it. Before they left Hailey and Max got a bath so they were clean before bed when they got home. Jacob and Adam got their bath after they left.
