It snowed during the night and the roads were really icy this morning. I was glad to hear when Jared had made it to work safely. I exercised until the boys woke up at 8:30. We watched Sid. Jacob likes to do the dance that Jarold (charactor on Sid) does. Adam helped me make my bed this morning. The boys pretended the stool was a mailbox. They had fun drawing on note cards and putting them in their mailbox. Jacob helped me make pancakes for breakfast. We watched Clifford. Then I cut some note cards in half and Jacob told me some shapes to draw on them. We then had fun playing the matching game. Adam sat by Jacob and watched. Then Jacob wanted to sit at the counter and cut out the shapes. Adam tried cutting with scissors but he needed help. Jacob cut up a pile of little pieces of note cards. He said they were bottles and said, “Old bottles go to make new bottles. I learned that on Curious George, PBS.” The boys made a long “train” across the room. It was fun watching them work together on building it. They had fun playing on it. Around 1pm we went outside. It was a beautiful sunny day (45 degrees). First we let the chickens out of their coop and then we went to check on Gladdis. We then got out the sand toys and went up to play in the sand. We had a great time. Adam liked making me c"cakes." He’d fill the round container with sand and say, “Cake Mommy? Go Mommy (Here you go). Fished (finished). More Mommy?” He also liked grabbing handfuls of the wet sand and handing it to me saying, “Drink Mommy?" As I pretended to drink it he'd say, "Good Mommy (Is it good)? Me Mommy (as he got one for himself)." Then he’d take it back and drop it saying, “Garage (garbage).” Jacob also made me pies and asked Adam to give them to me. He’d had fun digging in the dirt and playing with the caution cones. We played some "tag your it." It was around 2:30 when we came back inside for a snack. We read some books and I tucked Adam in for a nap. Jacob and I read a few more books and then he rested in his bedroom while looking at books with Truman. I did a 30 minute run. Jacob then watched his fire truck video. Then he and I went outside. He enjoyed scooping water with his shovel. Jared came home around 5pm. Jacob and Adam got a package in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa. Jacob was excited to open it. It had John Deere fruit snacks in it. As Jacob ate some he said, “Ummm, I love these. They taste like candy.” We went back outside. Jacob put some corn in his pocket to feed to the chickens. Jared cleared the leaves out of the ditch and away from the drainage pipe. Jacob had fun watching things got thru the pipe which goes under our driveway. We found a pop bottle and a couple cans which were sent under the driveway many times. Jacob sure was excited as he ran to the other side to watch it come out. He also liked filling the bottle and cans up with water from the ditch. We went back in the house for dinner. Adam woke up just before dinner was ready. After dinner we went back outside. Daddy and Jacob went back to working on the ditch. Adam and I took care of the animals. Adam sure was talking a lot. We came back inside around 7pm. The boys enjoyed Tractor fruit snacks for their evening snack. Jacob asked Daddy to play some Mario. We sure had fun playing together until pj time. The boys were tucked in bed by 9pm. Jared and I watched 24.

The John Deere snacks just jumped off the shelf into my grocery cart all by themselves. Well, not quite but almost. I think the little pigs are the best. I got them at Meijers. Jacob's smiling face is the best. No coats. That's not bad either with ice in the morning. It's March.
Yes, it is sunny and warm in Georgia, too. It topped 80 degrees yesterday! The Japanese magnolia outside the infirmary is in bloom. All the ornamental pears are blooming. And a week ago, we had more snow than we had seen in years and years (2 or 3 inches!!!)
Wow, I can't even imagine 80 degree temps. I was warm in 45 degrees.
