Watching Baby Einstein while sitting on the Wii board.

Jared had to leave early again this morning. I was up at 6:00. Jacob woke up at 7:30 and asked to play with flour. He played at the counter with that until I finished my exercises. We went outside to let the chickens out of the coop and looked at the new flowers coming up. Adam was awake by the time we came in. He went right to the barn magnetic toy on the fridge. He dance to the music by hanging onto the chair while lifting his leg and patting his knee. We went to church this morning but only stayed for 30 minutes because no other kids showed up. From there we went to Goodwill and the Pet store. Adam went right to the cage with the hedgehog saying, “hedgehog Mommy.” We also stopped at Salvation Army. Both boys had to show the cashier their knee scrapes. The boys ate a packed lunch on our drive to Mom’s house. There they played with the cash register and the golfing set. Then we watched the Baby Einstein video that I’d found at Salvation Army earlier. Shortly after 2pm I headed to town for a doctor appointment. On the drive there Jacob was pointing and asking, “What’s that sign say?” or “What names this road we're turning on?” My mom met us at my doctors officeand took the boys back to her house. Grandpa was with her and the boys were happy to see him. After my appointment I stopped in at the Vets to make an appointment for our dogs. It was great to talk with the people that I used to work with. It was around 4pm when I got back to Mom’s house. Mom and I took the boys downstairs to play. Jacob liked driving a matchbox car around the pingpong table and having them jump the net. Jared came there from work. He and Dad played several pingpong games. On the way home from Mom’s we took the boys to play at a nearby playground. We all had fun. Then we went out for dinner at Fazoli’s. On the drive home Jacob drew on his doodle pro. He drew several vehicles (car with flat tires, backhoe, water pipe truck, and a semi truck). I posted the semi truck because it was the last one and was left on there. He would show Adam and I before erasing them to draw the next one. We got home at 8pm. Jacob gave Adam rides around on the tricycle. The boys were tucked in bed by 9pm. Jared and I watched Lost.

Watching Baby Einstein

Funny part.

Jared had to be to work early again this morning. I got up at 6am to exercise. Jacob woke up around 7:15 but he lay in bed until almost 8:00. We cuddled in the chair for a little while before going outside to let the chickens out of their coop and get some food for the pullets. The inside chick sure do make a mess with the sawdust from their cage. I was going to vacuum around their cage when Jacob said, “No, I can do it. I'm really good at it.” The boys played with Little People things for a little time before breakfast. Adam flew around the “hepa-copper (helicopter).” After breakfast we watched Baby Shakespeare. That’s the Baby Einstein video from the tiger video the other day. As I put the video in Jacob excitedly said, “Cause I wanna watch the big scary lion, ROAR!” I heard a lot of roars from both boys. Jacob then got out his bank and counted coins at the counter. After he was done with that he gave Adam rides on the tricycle. Adam likes to have his feet on the pedals. If he does put down his feet Jacob would remind him, “Put your feet on the pedals Adam.” Adam isn’t long enough to pedal Jacob’s tricycle but he loves to pedal the smaller ones with me pushing from behind. We played with foam blocks until lunchtime. As we ate lunch Jacob said, “I love Bruce, Hailey, Meme, Jack, and Max. When’s Max's birthday gonna be in?” As Truman walked around Adam hung onto his collar yelling, “Walk the road now!” over and over. He then took the foam container lid and pretended it was a blanket. As he cover up he said, “Night night” and made snoring sounds. We watched Bob the Builder. At 1:30 we headed to meijer for groceries. Jacob brought in some note cards and a few small markers. As he wrote letters on the card he told me he was making a shopping list. He named off thing that were on his list, like ice cream and bananas. Then he walked around and helped me put things into the cart. After a while Adam said, “Listen Mommy (I will listen Mommy).” He also liked putting items in the cart. After getting the things we needed we walked up and down toy rows. At checkout I let Jacob pick a candy to share with Adam. Then the boys each got to ride the penny horse. Adam preferred it not moving and wanted off soon after it started. Jacob was happy to finish Adam's ride. As we left the store Jacob said, “I really had a lot of fun.” As we neared the auto dealership the boys asked to see the crashed cars. Jacob said, “Crashed cars please Mommy?” Then he said, “You love my manners? Say great manners.” We also stopped at TSC for chick food. As we left Jacob told the cashier, “We have baby chicks in our house and we love to hold them.” Adam kept pointing at me and saying, “Mommy Russell.” Now if I ask him what my name is that is his response. As we pulled in our driveway Jacob said, “Wow, that grass has greened up. Its not burnt anymore.” After reading I lay Adam down for a late nap. Jacob played at the counter with flour and cars while I put away groceries and then made noodle salad. Jared came home around 5:30. We woke up Adam and took a trip back to TSC with plans on getting some more broilers. We didn’t end up getting any but did have fun walking around the store. The boys love looking at all the tires for sale. After dinner I was unloading the dishwasher. The boys then loaded all their play dishes into it and we pretended to wash them. After their dishes were clean they had a good time pretending to cook with them. Jared had class this evening. Jacob set up the exercise ball in the middle of the room with stools and things all around it. He then sat on it and bounced. Nana called and both boys wanted to talk to her. After Jacob talked to her Adam said, “Me turn!” as he reached for the phone. Adam told her “bouncy ball” and did a lot of head nodding yes. They each talked to her twice. The boys were tucked in bed shortly after 9pm.

This is our white silkie bantam chick (Jacob's favorite).

Jared had to leave early for work this morning. Jacob woke up shortly after 7:00. He played with cars while I finished my exercises. We sat on the couch and held baby chicks. Adam woke up around 9am. He sat next to Jacob on the couch and pet the chick that Jacob was holding. After breakfast we watched Bob the Builder. Then the boys played with tools. Adam has a little cough and a runny nose. I did some sewing this morning. The boys sat at the table and cut with scissors. Jacob cut material and Adam cut some note cards. Jacob wanted to sew some of his material together so we did that. Adam liked sitting on my lap to watch me sew. We got out the fire truck playhut and the boys played with that until lunchtime. After lunch we watched a Baby Einstein video. Adam sat on the couch with a book saying, “Me read.” As he turns the pages he says, “page” and when he’s finished he always says, “Amen!” Around 2:30 I tucked Adam in for a nap. Jacob and I looked thur a “Where’s Waldo” book. Then he rested while playing with the Little People toys. He turned the school bus over and pretended it was a house. I did a 30-min run. Jacob sat at the counter and made foods using playdoh and his dishes. He made egg salad sandwiches and put playdoh between the play buns. Jared got home around 5:30. Adam woke up just after that. Jacob brought a chicken on the couch and said it needed surgery. He got out the doctor kit to give it an exam. Adam played with the Little People things. After dinner we all went outside to take care of the animals. The boys had fun playing on their tractors and carts. They also had fun in the hayloft. It was 7:30 when we came back inside. Around snack time Adam asked for juice saying, “Juice and water please Mommy?” He knows I always mix their juice with water so that’s how he's been asking for it lately. Jacob played doctor with his baby chick again. Then I saw him pick the baby chick up with tweezers by its foot. After praying with Adam at bedtime he quickly ran over to Jacob saying, “Him in dere?” They held hands and ran to the bedroom. They were tucked in bed by 9pm. Jared had to leave for work at 9:15. I watched 24. Jared got home at 11pm.
