Adam loves rolling off the ball with Daddy.
"Mommy, I need you to put my snow plow on".
The boys driving their snow plow trucks. I should have video taped it - I love their sounds. Adam does the same sounds Jacob makes.
Adam's colorful eye.
We made egg salad sandwiches for Daddy's lunch. Jacob is peeling his first egg. (My Dad gave me egg boiling instructions which make even our fresh eggs very easy to peel).
The boys found Daddy right away under the dog bed. They quickly jump on him. Then they ran to get blanket to cover him up with.
Jacob hauling his tractor.
Jacob cried this morning when Daddy wasn't under the blankets on the couch. Neither boy wanted breakfast, but instead just wanted to munch on crackers. We watched Clifford and Sesame Street. Jacob had fun playing at the counter with his automoblox. He gave Adam and I each one to play with. Adam liked taking the tires off and putting them back on (with a little help). We had fun pushing the cars back and forth to each other. I worked on organizing my picture books. I'm trying to get rid of the old sticky picture books (from when I was younger) and put them picture in new books. I also tried to get the pictures in order. Adam was fussy and wanted to be held alot this morning. He had a very runny nose. Jacob piled all his blankets and the dog bed on the couch. Then he set a chair up on top of the bed for him to sit on. The boys ate good for lunch. Around 2:30 I lay Adam down for a nap. I had Jacob lay down in his bed with a few cars. He fell asleep quickly. Adam woke up around 5pm. Jared came home soon after he'd woken up. He watched Daddy coming into the house as he stood on the couch. He was very excited. Jared had stopped at meijer for a couple things and also got me a capuccino. Jacob woke up around 6pm. After dinner he helped me peel eggs and make egg salad. Jacob asked if we could play in the dark. We got out some light up toys and flashlight and then turned out all the lights. First we had fun playing with our shadows and then we played hide and go seek. Jacob put the Thomas train flashlight in the wheel barrel and pushed it around. The boys and Daddy had fun hiding on me. They sure giggle as I search for them. Then Daddy hid and we had fun finding him. We all laughed so hard when Jacob finally found Daddy laying on the kitchen counter. I love how excited the boys get each time they find Daddy. Hide and seek in the dark is so much fun! It was almost 8pm when I went outside to take care of the animals and fill up the corn buckets. By the time I came back in it was almost pj time. The boys were tucked in by 9pm. Jared and I watched a very tense episode of 24.

Kimmy you'll have to keep taking pictures of adam's eye as it goes from purple to green to yellow stages.
I'm glad the eggs are peeling well now. Much easier huh? Poor Adam's eye. I hurt when I look at it. Give those boys hugs and kisses from nana.
Okay, now. You can't talk about a cool egg-peeling trick and get comments on the blog about it, and then not share it with the rest of us. Or at least please share with this pregnant lady who has had hard-boiled eggs be a big craving and eats them several times a week.
First you add some salt (a couple smidgens, according to Dad) to the water and get it boiling. Once it starts boiling, you add the eggs by using a spoon. Turn the heat down enough to keep it at a steady boil for 10 minutes. After ten minutes, take it off the burner and set it aside to cool in that water. Jared lost a bet with me because he didn't think it would work. We usually cool them in cold water so he thought they might burn, but they didn't. Our eggs were very hard to peel but now Jacob can peel them. Its great!
what did jared have to do after losing yet another bet. ummm maybe I should be beting him he's alwasy losing to you might as well lose to his big brother too.
Thanks for the egg receipe. I never get around to boiling eggs right after I buy them. So...I'm in good shape. The eye looks beautiful! What character and something to talk about. It looks boyish. Still making bibs. Sold 6already.
Wonder if that will work without cooling them much? Currently, they have to still be warm for me to eat them... so I peel them while they're still almost too hot to handle. Sometimes it works better than others...
