Lets do that again!

Just Daddy and sons this time.

Here come Daddy and Jacob.

There's Bruce and Max. Jacob tried to give Uncle Bruce a five.

Boys having fun with new toys from Aunt "Bippi".

His new pj's.

"Your taking my warm air!" (Daddy's has his hands on Jacob's belly)

The boys woke up around 9am. Daddy hid under the covers and Jacob was excited when he found him. We went out for the usual Saturday am routine. Jacob took his wallet into Salvation Army and picked out something to buy with his money. He found a hot wheels car that he wanted and paid for it. He liked getting his change and receipt. At noon we meet Mel, Bruce, Hailey, and Max at the city forest to go sledding and tobogganing. We all had a great time. First we started on the snow hill. Jacob, Hailey, and Max really seem to enjoy sledding. Adam wasn’t too sure about it. He’d cry when we went to put him on the sled but stopped right away and did good going downhill. Around 1:30 we went into the warming house. Mel and Bruce bought the kids hot chocolate. I enjoy watching the kids interact with each other. The city forest has four (two sets of two) elevated, iced toboggan runs. We rented toboggan’s to use on them. Hailey tried it a couple times but didn’t like it. Jacob and Max loved it. Adam was ok with it. This is the same toboggan run we went on when we were young, so it brought back great memories for Mel and I. So much fun! Jacob liked pretending he was on a bullet train with a track. He also loved watching the other toboggan’s come down after us. He’d stand there and say, “Go, go, go!” We also tried Mels plastic tobaggan which when much faster and further. We made it all the way to the end of the run using that. Around 3pm we headed home. I tucked Adam in for a nap and Jacob rested. This evening we went shopping at a couple Goodwill’s near where Vikki lives. She wasn’t at home but we also stopped at her house to pick up some things she’d gotten for the boys and pingpong paddles she’d bought for Jared and my Dad. Jacob was so excited when he saw the wheel barrel that she had bought for them. Once at home the boys had fun playing with that and another toys she’d gotten for them. We had to set the timer for the rest of the evening so they could take turns with the wheel barrel. Jacob had fun using the wheel barrel to help clean up toys this evening. He also loved the tractor pj’s Aunt “Bippi” got for him. The boys were really excited and acting goofy this evening. They had fun doing flips off the couch. Jacob would do it and then Adam would climb up saying, “Me me” and Daddy would help him flip over. Before bed Adam asked for a “bank-bee (blankey)” for “LouLou (Louie)”. He covered him up, gave him a kiss, and told him “night”. Jacob always helps me tuck Adam in his crib. The other day he had Adam lift his head so he could put his doggie under for a pillow. Now Adam always hands me his doggie and says, “pillow”. Jacob usually points at Adam’s cheeks or nose and makes him giggle. Tonight Adam was pointing at Jacob’s face, saying, “cheeks, nose, eyes, ears, head”. They were tucked in bed around 9:30.

Wonderful, wonderful pictures, inside and outside. The snow pictures actually made me feel like you were as warm as toast. Could be a great Christmas family picture. If you did pictures! What a fun day outside and inside. Lou, Lou...it's great he gets a blanket now. Can't snuggle up against his buddy. Thanks so much for the day!

Seeing all the fun you were having on sleds and toboggans in the snow ALMOST leads me to miss snow. The hot chocolate is always fun -- and I drink that here even without snow!

Jacob in his new pajamas looks about a foot taller than earlier this week.
