Jacob said they were holding their "flowers"

Jacob is "painting lines on the road".

Jacob fixing his car:

Checking the oil.
Filling the tires with air.
Ready to go.

Taking down the Christmas tree.
The boys loved taking ornament off the tree. Half the time Adam would just pull the ornament off the tree, leaving the hook.

Playing with his automoblox.
Adam had lots of fun with this tool box.

The boys juggling.

Adam ran to hide when I asked him to juggle for a picture.

The boys slept until shortly after 9am. Jacob played with playdoh right after he was done with his breakfast. Jared worked on fixing our computer. Jacob built a campfire and we had fun pretending to camp. We all lay on the floor and pretended to be swimming. The boys had fun playing with their pinwheels and riding around on the tractor and tricycle. Adam climbed on the tricycle and said, "Push". I asked him if he wanted to go slow or fast and he said, "slow". Shortly after noon we headed into town. We stopped at Goodwill, the Pet store, meijer, and TSC. Everywhere we went Adam was very friendly saying, "Hi or Bye" to just about everyone that walked past us. In meijer Adam asked to walk. He usually sits in the cart but Jacob walks. I told him he could get down if he held my hand. He was very excited. Both boys held my hands until we got to the checkout, where they helped set thing on the table to be scanned. Soon after we got home, we took down the Christmas tree. I organized our bedroom closet. Then Jared and I folded and put away laundry. At around 4pm I lay Adam down for a nap. He never did fall asleep. Jared went down into the crawlspace with the boys. I was handing him things to store down there, but I went out to the kitchen to get something. Jared called me saying, "Hello, Kimmy". Adam copied him and said, "Hello, Kimmy". This evening Jared was juggling and Adam tried to copy him. He'd get two balls and throw them into the air. After I was done reading Adam his bedtime books he pointed at the rocking chair and said, "rocker". When I asked him, "Are you ready to cuddle in the rocker?" he replied, "Uh huh" as he nodded his head. After tucking Adam in bed I read with Jacob. Then we cuddled in the rocking chair. When it was time to talk about what we did today he asked, "What did you do today?". I told him what I did today and he said, "What else did you do today?" Then he said, "What did you do yesterday?"

Good stories of how your boys are learning more and more language.

I am sad that you took down your Christmas tree before January 6. I guess I must learn that some traditions change with time and new families. Sigh.

Still -- it was nice having our tree up until January 6, when the Three Kings arrived to see the baby and his glory showed forth.

I didn't know about the January 6 tradition, but I guess we'll leave our tree up till then now.
Those boys are sure growing up fast on us. Love ya!

Jared here,

Interesting tradition...never heard of the 6th of Jan and the three kings... Was the birth really on the 25th? So I guess maybe we can celebrate the 2nd as the arrival of the Three Kings instead of the 6th...

Just a thought for a new tradition. Yes I did get an extra lump of coal in my stocking.
