Jacob woke up at 8am. Soon after that Adam was awake. We watched Curious George and then ate breakfast. Jacob made a “bridge” using his semi truck and some clay pieces. He showed me it and how it worked, then he said, “I am clever”. After the boys were dressed and ready for the day we watched Clifford. We turned on some Raffi music and had fun dancing on the "dance floor (sheep rug) and playing instruments. Jacob and Adam helped me put away laundry. Then the boys played with the Little People car wash and cars. They played well together. Jacob likes to give out orders like “you can’t do that Adam” or “you can play with this Adam, sit right there”. Adam bumped his head so I drove (carried) him in the ambulance (my arms) to see the doctor (Jacob). Jacob rubbed his head and put some medicine on it. Then he gave him a “poke” on the head. Jacob said, "I need them see-er sings (things) to put on my eyes". I got the boys their safety goggles. We had fun playing "doctor" for a while. Jacob lay on the couch and said, “the bed bugs are biting me, I need an ambulance”. Adam found several ladybugs today. He'd carry them around in his little hand. He'll open his hand a little, get his head close and say in a soft voice, “a bug, hi bug”. He likes to show me the bugs he finds. I dusted the furniture. After lunch we went outside to collect eggs and let the hens out. Adam had fun running in the puddle. If there is a puddle, Adam just can't stay out of it. When we came back inside Jacob wanted to try his hat on Adam. Then I was sitting on the piano bench helping Adam unzip his toy fire truck. Jacob walked away with some keys, then turned and said to me, “Goodbye. Say, you welcome to come visit me. You Grandma, I going at work, bye.” Then he came to visit me (Grandma) at my house (the sheep rug). He said, “Hi Grandma, it’s been long time. We gonna have dinner?” When I asked him what he wanted for dinner he said, “pancakes!” Around 2:30 I called Mom and she asked me if I was going to the wedding at 4pm. At the beginning of this week we were invited to the wedding of a family we were close to years ago. We went to school/church with their daughter/family and their son-in-law was our teacher at the private school we attended. Many years ago they were divorced and now they have been remarried. We were looking forward to seeing people we haven’t seen in years. I had forgotten about the wedding. I called Jared to see if he could leave work a little early. After he said yes, I told him it was because I wanted him to come to a wedding. He then joked that he was really busy and made sounds like the phone was cutting out. I hurried to get ready and got to Jared's work around 3:30. We got to the church right at 4pm. Mom, Dad, Mel and her family were there already. After the service was over we went to the reception dinner. While we waited for dinner, Adam asked for a drink of my lemonade. I held my glass cup and to let him drink from the straw. Well, he will not take a drink if I'm holding it and instead hits (or points at) the table in front of him, wanting to do it by himself. He also asked for a bite of my bread. I broke him off a piece and he cried because he wanted the whole thing. We left around 8:30 and got home at 10pm. The boys were asleep and stayed asleep as we put them in bed.

Wow...a wedding on Thursday. No wonder you forgot. Seems like Adam is a chip off the ??? block. Water puddles are the best. It's an easy thing to do to make a difference in that water puddle staying where it should. Thanks for a super start to a Friday for me. It's pancakes in Georgia for EVERYONE. Yes...it's been a long time.
Adam in his green seer-things is too much!! I am beginning to believe he is going to be a very stimulating child as he continues to grow!!! Will he not stimulate a lot of creative thinking from his mother and father??
When Jared's work phone was cutting out, I am surprised that you did not hear the bank teller lady trying to re-establish a better connection . . . Oh, yeah, operators don't exist any longer, do they?
I love the picture of Jacob in his hat making a silly face.
And the one of Adam in his green safety goggles too.
