Jacob came down to our bedroom at 1:30am and said he had to use the potty. I tucked him back into bed and went back to bed. At 3am Jacob came down to our bedroom crying saying, "I puked out me nose". I took him back to his bedroom to clean him up. There was puke all over the room but the majority of it was on his blankey. It was on the wall by his bed and all the way across to the other side of the room. Daddy came and took him to lay in bed with him. I changed his sheets and got his blanket in the wash. Then I got out the floor cleaner. It was hard to get the stain out of the floor but the resolve got it out. I took Jacob back to his bed and tucked him in. He saw his clean sheets and said, "tanks Mommy". By this time his blanket was done but the stains hadn't come out. I used the stain remover on them and put it in for another cycle. I lay down in bed and Jacob called out saying, "I pooped". He had diarrhea so I got him cleaned up and back in bed. Adam woke up around 4am crying. I was comforting him and Jacob called out saying he pooped again. I tucked Adam back in bed and went to take care of Jacob. I lay back down in bed and around 4:15 Jacob came running down the hall. He was covering his mouth saying, "I gonna puke". I didn't get the bathroom door opened in time and he puked on the floor in the hallway. He had also puked in his bed. Got him tucked in bed and then went to srub the hallway floor. Then I tried to comfort a crying Adam, Jacob had diarrhea again. Adam fell back to sleep around 5am. I lay back down and Jacob said he had pooped again. I changed him and threw the pull-up away in the trash in Adam's room. Adam woke up so I nursed him a little early. After I was done nursing Adam he puked. Got him changed into some dry clothes and tucked back in bed. Jacob woke up around 8am and I didn't even hear him. Jared took him out to watch Curious George and Clifford. I woke up when Adam woke up close to 9am. I went outside to take care of the animals and it felt so nice outside. It was 25 degrees and sunny and the birds were singing. Jacob really wanted to get donuts and choc milk so we decided to go and hope he could keep it down. He hasn't had any sort of an appetite and has only wanted to drink water. Jared also tried a plain donut and some oj. We walked through Salvation army and Goodwill. Adam was bouncing to the music while sitting in the cart. Then we went to the pet store. Jacob loves walking through the pet store. He really enjoyed looking at everything and got to pet a guiny pig. We got home around noon. Jacob really didn't want anything for lunch but did eat a couple bites of a banana and a couple bites of jello. Jacob was excited to open his valentines card from Hailey. Adam also liked his. He cried when I took it away. (Thank-you Hailey! You write your name so well and the hearts look so pretty.) Adam took a 3hr nap and Jacob slept for 5 hrs and we had to wake him up. He was so tired that he fell asleep for his nap in minutes. While they were asleep I worked on cleaning our fish tank that has been sitting in the barn for years. It and everything in it was very dirty. I also washed the stand and spray painted it. Shortly after we woke Jacob up our electricity went out. I was nursing Adam and Jacob was sitting on the couch when it went out. Jared was out in the barn. Jacob cried and said, "Turn lights back on Mommy". It was so dark. Jacob had fun when we lite all the candles and he helped me decide where to put different candles. Went to the neighbors house and Jared used their phone to call consumers. Went to town to call my Mom and let her know we had to give her number to consumers. We wanted her to know what was up in case they called her. A friend that I used to work with let me use her cell phone. I ran into Salvation army to get a cheep corded phone and Jared went down the road to get me a coffee. Jared went into Lowe's to get an extention cord to plug the corn burner into the generator so we could heat the house. Also stopped to get some gas. The consumer truck arrived at the house just before us. Jacob was excited watching them out the window. He called to me saying, "Mommy dear going up, ewe wanna tee, ewe wanna tee". I knelt on the couch by him to watch for a little bit and then went to lite some more candles. They got the power back on quickly.

Good grief. It's crazy at your house. I think you (Kimmy)should have taken a 5 hr nap. But...you know...no mother ever gets that. You ALL are on my prayer list. In twenty years you will forget most of all this. That's the good part. We had a puke carpet stain for a long time. It was cheap carpet. It pays to buy good. This would be a good day to stay home from church. No one needs your bug.
Kimmy, as I was reading about your night, up and down, and up and down, cleaning, and cleaning, and cleaning again, I could not help but think this might be a modern episode of "I Love Lucy" -- can you see Lucy's expressions as Jacob comes back into the room one more time? Can you imagine her expression as she sees the puke on the wall on the other side of the room? I was chuckling as I read all this -- but I know that you were not! I hope you get a well-deserved rest SOON!
I feel so bad for you Kimmy. What a night! And then your electricity had to go out on top of all that. I sure hope everyone is feeling better soon.
Uncle Dee, you gave Jared and I a good laugh when we read your comment. Last night was a good night sleep for all of us.
Kimmy it could have been worse! Truman could have been sick again too.
