I woke up around 8am and read a book until the boys were awake. They woke up at 9am. Truman puked in the hallway. Jacob was sitting on the couch with me and saw Truman’s puke and said, “me wanna go tee it”. Then he said, “no me wanna stick me pinger in it, that would be ewe”. He then looked at me and said, “me go tee Tru Tru, say, ewe ok?” Then Truman puked in the kitchen and Jacob said, “uh oh I gotta go get me tractor – clean it up”. After I cleaned it up he rode his tractor over it and smiled at me. While we were eating breakfast Jacob looked at the TSC catalog that was sitting on the table. He turned it to the page with several tractors on it and said to me, “say, which one do you like?”. I asked him which one he liked and he point to one and said, “I like that one”. Adam went into Jacob’s room and pulled books off the bookshelf and Jacob read me a book. He started out each page saying “once pon a time”. I don’t know where he got that because most of his books don’t start out that way. Then Adam went into his bedroom and played with his barn and Little People toy basket. He likes to check each thing that he pulls out carefully, turning it over. Jacob spread out his blanket and played in the living room with his cars. Adam soon came out to be out by us so I got out a toy basket of toys he hasn’t played with in a while – that kept him entertained while I played with Jacob. Then I turned some music on and we danced and sang to the music. Adam started bouncing as soon as he heard the music and then came crawling over for me to pick him up. He reached out to touch the cd player. Jacob’s favorite song is “This Little Light of Mine”. After snack time Jacob walked around the kitchen looking for something. He said, “uh oh where me righ?” I wasn’t sure what he was asking for until he took me to the cupboard and pointed to the bag of rice in there. We played with rice and Adam played with blocks. Jacob likes when I pretend its raining rice on his tractor. He takes and covers his tractor with several measuring cups. Then we sat down on the floor with Adam and tried to see how high we could build them before he knocked them down. It was 36 degrees out and sunny so I got the boys bundled up and we went for a walk down the road. Jacob thought it was funny when two of our barn cats followed us. We’d stop walking to see Adam smiling in the stroller. We talk to him and told him about all the things we were seeing. Jacob would rub Adam’s face as he talked to him in a soft voice. Jacob really wanted to see the garbage truck that was at the end of our road but it was long gone by the time we got there. Jacob saw a little bike in our neighbors yard and said, “look at dat bike”. Then he said, “no me can’t play with dat, nope – I got one dem at me home”. When we got back home Jacob played in his sand while I played peek-a-boo with Adam. Jacob found some money on our porch and put it in his pocket. When we got inside he wanted to put it in his bank. Then he emptied his bank and wallet to count his money. Adam took a nap. Jacob rested for about 30min and then we played together until Daddy came home. Daddy came home a little early and we went into town for a few things. Walked around Salvation army and Jacob really liked this little pocket bible they had there. Mom’s birthday is tomorrow so are having family over for cake and ice cream to celebrate. Had to pick up some things for that. Got some paint from Home Depot to paint our chicken coop. It is going to be mostly red with some white. We got home in time for dinner. I got Jacob his little pocket bible out that he had got for his dedication. He loves to turn the pages. We watched Bob the Builder. When I was reading Adam and we got to the animal page I asked him “where’s the fish”. He quickly turned his head to the fish tank and smiled. Jacob ran over and pointed to the fist in the book. I cleaned up the house for tomorrow after the boys were in bed. Tomorrow I will vacuum and Jacob can help me make a couple cakes.

You're lucky Jacob waits till after you clean the mess before pushing his tractor in it. Unlike what Max did today, pushing his tractor through poop. What a mess! I love that picture of Jacob reading his little pocket Bible.
Red...Wow...That should get everyone's attention when driving into your place. You can tell friends...Find the red chicken house, that's us. Will it be painted by chicken time? Now...a green J Deere looking gravity wagon...Red chicken house, yellow barn and blue house. I think you've got the rainbow going on.
Get rid of that winter gray sky.
I hear rain outside. It's not going to be nice today.
For Melissa...Adam looks like JB for sure. But...if you saw Doug's baby pictures you would confuse them with Jacob's picture. It's really crazy because none of our kids looked like Doug nearly as much as Jacob did and does at this point. But I certainly don't know what Kimmy looked like as a baby.
Cool Kimmy and Jared are going to have a GAINT CANDY CANE in the front yard!
oh yeah have you all been checking out the falcons. we have at least one egg. they have been having some camera issues so its not been reloading right but hopefully they can get that fixed
Lela, Kimmy just told me that too. She says they look exactly alike. Although, I don't see Kimmy in him always, sometimes he'll get a certain look that reminds me of her when she was little. I also think he sometimes looks alot like Kenzie when she was a baby. I think some of their expressions are the same. It would be neat to see some of Doug's baby pictures too. And Eric, we checked out the falcons. We could only get one of the videos to work, but Hailey really liked seeing the baby falcon. She kept asking to watch it over and over. Thanks for letting us know about it.
Melissa if you go to the falcon blog http://blogs.indystar.com/falconblog/
if you go to the nest box camera you will be able to see one of the eggs that have been laid this year The nest box camera is having some issues reloading but you can see one of the falons sitting on the ledge. The falcons have landed on our building downtown before and usually have food with them in thier tallons talk about having the discovery channel about 10 feet from you. I'll see if I cant find a picture of them that I sent kimmy the other day or ask her to check her email and forward it on to you.
Falcon mother...This is just like all those birthing babies on TV. The preg. mother has no privacy. Poor falcon. I think there is only one little brown egg.
