Got up to exercise until the boys woke up at 8am. We watched Curious George while they ate their breakfast. We also watched Sid the Science Kid. I got out the soft Tonka cars to play with. Adam loved pushing the train around on the track while making train sounds. At one corner on the train playmat is a stoplight. Adam would always stop the train and say, "doplight." Jacob complained that his belly hurt. He was grouchy this morning. Adam was being really goofy. He kept pushing the exercise ball into my foot and then cracking up when I'd push it back at him. Then he kept pulling my sock off saying, “Sock off", and as he huged it he'd say, "I got it.” Then he would hand it back saying, “Gain (again)”. Jacob and I cuddled together on the couch as we watched Clifford. I put on some music and the boys had fun playing with playdoh. Jacob dropped a big piece and Truman quickly ate it. He played with the playdoh until lunchtime. Adam played for a long time and then got down to play with the train set. After lunch the boys asked to play with the playdoh again. Jacob made me playdoh lunches. He'd neatly wrap the pancakes in a lunchbox and hand it to me. I'd open the lunchbox and pretend to eat some yummy pancakes. Adam's so funny to watch pretend to eat playdoh. The boys helped me pick up all the soft Tonka cars. Then we had fun playing with the exercise ball. They bounced together on the couch with the ball between them. Then I bounced the ball at them as they ran by giggling. I lay Adam down for a nap around 2:30. Jacob rested in his bedroom while playing with the Lincoln logs. Adam talked for a long time before finally going to sleep. Jared came home around 4pm. Jacob got his first issue of Highlights High Five magazine in the mail. We had fun looking and reading that together. Adam came outside to help me take care of the animals. We headed into town around 5:30. First stop was to Fazoli’s but the line was out the door so we decided to walk around the mall and come back. The boys had fun at Barnes and Noble. We read books and they played on the train table. We had a nice time at Fazoli’s. Before going home we stopped at several car dealership to look at some cars. Got home soon after 8pm. Jacob and I read thru his High Fives magazine again. Then we had fun making a little book. Adam played with Daddy and both of them were laughing really hard. As Adam followed me to be tucked in his crib he passed by Kate and said, “Scuse (Excuse) Kate."

What a fun day...Highlights, that's the best. More fun. Eating out on Friday night is the best also. It was a best day. Snow is coming today, they say.

Oh, dear. Now Grandma R is repeating herself.

I remember Highlights when I was a kid. Actually, I may remember the START of Highlights -- because I also remember Children's Activities, which preceded Highlights. I enjoyed getting them in the mail. I wonder if Goofus and Gallant are still around. . .

Yes, Goofus and Gallant are sill featured in Highlights magazines. Highlights High Five is a great magazine for younger children.
Eric, I guess we'll be watching for green puke:(
