At Grandpa and Grandma's house, yeh!
Boys opening their stockings from Grandma and Grandpa:
Present time:
Adam didn't want to sit for a picture. These are the pillows Grandma made out of Uncle Dee's ties.
Very tired boys.
Jared here. I took over the blog for a day. Just me writing today and no pictures will be posted so if pictures are what you're looking for you're out of luck and you might as well go back to reading the news at CNN. We left the house at 6:30am this morning and finally hit the road after stoping for gas and coffee at 7. Drive down wasn't bad...slow going at first due to some snow and icy highways but close to lansing I was finally able to lock in the cruise control some where over the speed limit. Saw a cop or two but not too many. Arrived in Carmel at just past noon. The boys opened their stockings while we waited for Eric, Kat and Andrew to arrive. They were certainly excited to be at Grandma's and Grandpa's house. Around 4:30 pm the other Russell clan arrived and we promptly began opening stockings. We then handed out presents and took turns opening. Jacob and Adam loved the books and wooden cars. They also recieved pillows made out of Uncle Dee's ties. They were really cool pillows. Sorry Uncle Dee you'll have to wait to see pictures. Kimmy got a nice pair of crocs lined with warm fuzzys for winter wear. I streched out Kimmy's slippers at home and they no longer fit her... and was told in no uncertain terms to keep my large feet out of these. I recieved some great Mr. Safety Magnets and will post pictures later as well. Also a piece of raku pottery from Copper Harbor...it's a really cool looking fish. Again sorry no pictures for now, you'll just have to use your imagination. I also recieved a very nice sweater, shirt and jeans along with some other items. Kimmy got from mom and dad a couple of very nice pieces of pottery from Copper Harbor as well. We had pasties for dinner and apple pie for dessert...no pictures of the pie...it didn't last long enough to get a picture of it. But it was great. The boys were exhausted and went to bed quite easily. Not sure what else to mention about today...I'm quite tired and have a feeling I'll be going to bed quite easily as well. There is no snow on the ground here and it's quite strange to be able to walk out to the car in sock feet and not have to shovel or slosh through snow. Strange to see shades of brown and green out the window instead of massive amounts of white. Ok we'll I'm going to wrap things up for the night and stay tuned for pictures of the above items. That's it from Carmel...

The saying used to be where's the beef, but now it's where are the pictures. Can't believe you set the cruise control above the speed limit and then told about it on the blog. You did do a great job posting though, I have to admit.
Good reporting, Jared. Although I must say that I never thought of your feet as LARGE.
I am looking forward to the pictures.
That room sure looks beautiful with the tree and the stockings hanging in the windows.
