At around 7am Jacob came running down the hallway crying. He was saying, “Where’s Daddy, I want Daddy”. He lay in my bed with me for about an hour. Adam woke up around 8am. He had his blanket draped over the side of the crib. As he pushed it back and fort he was saying, “choo choo, choo choo”. During breakfast I heard the propane truck in our driveway. We to my bedroom and watched out the window as they added propane to the tank. After the boys finished eating breakfast I gave Jacob a haircut. Then we went outside to play. It was a beautiful winter day – sun was shining. The boys took turns getting sled rides up and down the driveway. I finished shoveling the end of the driveway. Then I shoveled a path that lead under the pine tree. We had fun playing under there and pretended it was our fort. Then we sledded down the hill by our house. I made lots of paths for Adam to walk thru but he still wanted to walk in the snow like Jacob. He tried and fell with his arms going down into the snow. Then he’d whine asking for help. Jacob walked all over in the snow and had fun making snow angel's. Adam said, "Me me (Me too)" so I helped him make a snow angel too. We pretended to make “snow pies” filling the Frisbee with snow. Jacob made me a “snow cake” and then said he had a present for me. When I asked him what he’d gotten for me he said, “a shooting star”. Then he pointed to the “present” and said, “open it up”. We sure had lots of fun and even Adam didn’t want to come back inside today. It was noon when we came in. We had hot chocolate before eating lunch. After lunch we watched a Baby Einstein dvd. Then we made paper chains to count down the days until Christmas. The boys liked picking their colors (green or red) and helping me glue the pieces together. Then they ran up and down the hallway with their chains. Around 2pm the boys ate a snack. Then we read some books and I tucked Adam in for a nap. I read some more to Jacob and we played together for a little while. Today I had him lay down in his bed to rest. He fell asleep very quickly. Adam woke up close to 5pm and soon after that Daddy got home. Adam had fun getting chased by Daddy. He’d run to me, giggling the whole way. Adam took his “Cliffod Peek-a-boo” book to Daddy saying, “Peek-boo”. I went outside to take care of the animals. When I came back inside Jacob was hiding under his blanket on Daddy’s lap. I searched for him in his bedroom and then came out and tickled his feet that were sticking out of the blanket. Soon we headed into town. We went to a couple stores and then had dinner at Fazoli’s. It was a late dinner and most the tables were empty. Jacob liked picking out what table we were going to sit at. It was almost 9pm when we got home. The boys played for a little bit and then we got them in their pj's. They ran from Daddy to the bathroom to brush their teeth. They love the new blue toothpaste and Jacob wanted to show Daddy. Adam followed him saying, “Me me (Me too), Daddy”. Jacob wanted to read his Bible with Daddy on the floor tonight. Adam gets so excited as I read the book “Choo Choo”. During one page he got down and pulled Daddy’s by his finger saying, “Choo choo!”

Goodness me...you are the first person I know who got a shooting star for a present. Must be nice. You certainly are helping two great kids to love the snow. How about a picture of Kimmy all dressed up for the outdoors. A few flakes floating through the air yesterday. Just a few. It's cold in Indiana. It's Sat...doughnut holes or a doughnut with a hole are in store for the Michigan family. Yahoo.
No snow here.
I hope lunches are warm -- even with hot chocolate for starters. Do the boys like soup? Have there been any toasted cheese sandwiches this week?
The count-down chain is clever. Jacob will certainly be encouraged to count the links that are left each day. I can hear the excitement building!
wow the propane truck came...does that mean Jared has given in and is using the furance??
No, we use propane for our water heater. Its also nice to have for the furnase if needed. We haven't had any propane added in two years.
I would say you are living green at this point. More of us should be following suit. I love that hot reflective heat that comes out of our registers. But it's not green.
