Adam loves pretending to put "chap stick" on us. After putting some on Jacob's bottom lip Jacob pointed at his top lip and said, "Right here Adam". I thought this picture was funny.
Jacob came to lay in our bed around 7:45am. Adam was awake by 8:00. The boys ate cheerios for breakfast and then we got ready for the day. We stopped at the post office before heading into town for the usual Sat. am drinks and donuts. Daddy got Jacob a "donut hole" today. He was excited about getting a big donut. We then went to Salvation Army, Goodwill, the pet store, and meijer. Meijer was very busy today. As we were walking out the door I realized they'd double charged us for diapers. We got home at around 12:30. Daddy and Jacob went outside to shovel. We had had a snack in the car so Jacob didn't want to eat any lunch. Adam ate and we played inside for a little while. Then we read some books and cuddled in the rocking chair. At 2pm I tucked him in for a nap. Lately he starts patting his belly as I lay him down. He always wants me to pat his belly after I cover him with his blankey's. Then I went outside. Jared had shoveled a path to the barn for the gravity wagon. He climbed up in the fort and tried to talk Jacob into going down the tube slide with him. Then he went down it to show Jacob how much fun it was. He was surprised at how fast he went down and called me to come watch. Of course he went down it several more times. It was funny to see him shoot out the end of the slide and into the snow. The snow was so deep that Jacob asked me to shovel him a path to the fort. He and Daddy went down the straight slide together. Then we had fun pulling Jacob around the driveway in the sled. Its a circular sled and slides really easy. Jacob loved sledding. Daddy and I pulled him really fast and then let it go. We all had a great time. Jacob sure is enjoying the snow this year. It was around 3:30 when we came back inside. Jacob ate a sandwich. Jared and I like to tease the boys, and each other, by putting our cold hands on their backs. And Jacob does the same to us. When we came inside this afternoon, Daddy put his cold hand on Jacob's back. Jacob laughed and said, "Stop, your taking my warm air away!" Jacob saw one of Hailey's birthday gifts, the book "Make Way for Duckling's" and wanted me to read it to him. We read it a few times. Adam woke up around 5pm. Soon after that we headed over to Mom's house. Mel and her family were there and Hailey opened her birthday gift from us. The boys are staying with Nana this evening. Jared and I had a date, dinner at Damon's. We got there around 6:30. Afterwards we stopped at Walmart. Its so different to walk around a store and not have the kids with us. We got back to Mom's around 8:30. Mom had the kids in their pj's. Jacob and Max were having fun playing with the cars. Jared and Dad went downstairs to play ping pong and Adam went down with them. I played Bingo with Hailey. After Nana put Max in bed she played with us. Jacob played one game but then he just wanted to fill his card with "chips". After playing many games I read "Make Way for Duckling's" to Hailey and Jacob. Nana tucked Hailey in bed. Jacob and I went downstairs. The boys played while Papa and Daddy finished their game. We headed home around 9:30. Jacob fell asleep on the drive.

This account again reveals that, although both Jared and Kimmy and strong, hard shovelers, the regular snow-shoveler who seems to be making the BIG DIFFERENCE in keeping the drive clear is Jacob! Where would the two of you be without his consistent help?
I cannot help but smile at your special date at Walmart. What are you two -- an old married couple?
Love that picture of Adam putting "chapstick" on Jacob.
Hailey sure loves her bingo game. We just played a bunch of games while the boys are napping. It's alot of fun.
