When I asked Jacob to smile for the camera Adam hurried in front of the camera and gave me this smile.

Adam giving Jacob hugs.

Jacob came into bed with me at 7am. We lay in bed until around 8am. After Clifford was over Jacob rode around on his “ment (cement) truck”. He told me, “Mommy, I’m making highways and roads with this ment truck”. Then he pushed around his dump truck after filling it with things. Adam woke up around 9:30. The boys played with their matchbox cars. I got out the rice for Jacob play with. He told me he was making gravel. Adam really wanted to play in the rice also. I gave him a couple large mixing bowls and a measuring cup and set it on the rug in the kitchen. We sat on the floor together and Jacob joined us. Adam loved feeling the rice with both hands and also had fun putting the rice from one bucket to the other. Jacob pretended to make a cake. He pretended to put candles in it and told me to blow them out. We got 10 eggs today (all in one nest box). Also got our first green egg. After lunch we headed into town. First we stopped at a park. This park has a small playground area with a couple slides and a swing set. Also there is a large wooden ship to play on. Jacob liked climbing up the ramp and down the ladder. He pointed to the cross on top of the ship and said, “you see that sign, that says North ship”. He also pretended the ship was his “firetruck boat”. Adam tried to walk the ramp but turned to ask me for help. I tried to walk up it with him but my crocs were making us slide. I lifted him up and then climbed the ladder. There was an area under the ship with windows and you could also climb from under there to the top of the ship. Adam took us over to the swing set and both boys asked to swing. Jacob liked going really high. Then he’d want to push the brakes and have me stop him fast. The boys went down the slides. Jacob went underneath the playground area, looked around, and said, “there’s no McDonalds here”. He decided the ladder would work just as well for a window. We played “McDonalds”. First he shut and locked the window saying he was closed. Then he opened it and told me he was out of macncheese but did have grilled cheese at the price of $22. Adam liked sticking the woodchips in the holes of the playground steps. We went back to play on the ship. The boys each found a stick they wanted to bring home. They brought their sticks and Jacob led us in follow-the-leader to the van. He does things like march, nod his head, or step a foot to the side. We went to Salvation Army and found some Columbia winter boots in Jacob size for $1. Stopped at Tim Horton’s and got a cappuccino for me, and some TimBits (donut holes) for the boys. Had to get a few things from meijer before heading home. When we got home the boys asked to feed apples to the horses. We picked some apples off the tree and then took them to the horses. Adam likes to get an apple for each hand. After he threw them into the horses he pointed at the apple tree saying, “bopple (apple), aussie (horsey)”. I asked him if he wanted to get some more apples for the horses and he nodded his head saying, “peeeease”. Adam napped until 6:00. Jacob watched his bulldozer video. Then we got out the moon sand to play with. At 7pm Jared went to the computer to do an orientation for an online class he’s most likely going to be taking. The boys played with the blocks and their dump trucks. Adam learned how to smile when we ask him to. Usually he squints his eyes but I couldn’t get it on camera. The boys had fun playing in the bathtub until pj time. After Jacob and I talk about our day we sing a few songs and then pray. Jacob pointed to the ceiling as we lay on his bed and said, “Mommy, God’s way up there, and him can see us”. Jared and I just got back inside from catching three of our goats and putting them into stalls. They will be going to a new home tomorrow.

WOW! The goats have met their match. Enough of all this foolishness. I'm really aware of why we had a goat for only 3 months.

oh man no more goat adventures with 3 going to a new "home" is that code for butcher shop?? I guess the chickens are only liking one room there in the massive hotel? Is house keeping not doing a good job with the other rooms?

I suspect the goats are on their way to Jeanies farm. Wow...now you are down to 2 if I'm counting correctly. The children are gone.

Actually the goats are on their way to live with a family who has never owned goats before (uh oh!). Their boy is facinated with goats. This family knows my Dad thru his work.

I was wrong. They have had goats before. Jared and I expect them back in a couple weeks - we'll see.
