Day 12

Hiking along Lake Superior (Pebble Beach).

Jacob enjoying a turn in the backpack.

Jared and I woke up around 7:30. The boys were up soon after 8am. After breakfast at Grandma's, we took a short walk around camp. We didn't take the strollers and the boys had fun walking. When we walked by the campsite with the big rock Adam quickly grabbed my finger and tryed to pull me over to see it. Since there are now people camping there, we weren't able to go see the rock. Adam wasn't happy about that. As we approached our campsite Adam noticed a couple dogs. He tried to pull my finger again, and again was unhappy about not going over there. We to a walk over to "pebble" beach. It was a fun hike over the rocks by Lake Superior. Then we hiked thru the woods, crossed the road, and hiked on a trail that leads to the East campground. Adam looked like he was going to fall asleep on Daddy's shoulder. Jacob liked stopping and poking holes in the leaves with his stick. We took the kids to play at the playground. From there, Jacob got a turn to ride in the backpack. He thought that was really fun. We went to the beach to get the strollers and then headed back to camp. After lunch we went for a drive to the end of the highway. Then we stopped to visit Grandma at Dennis's shop. At 2pm I lay Adam down for a nap in the tent. Jacob rested. We drove into town to get some hot chocolate. Back at camp we went for a walk. It was pretty cold outside by the time we went down to the Berry Patch for ice cream. We (Grandma and Grandpa too) took a drive to the lookout at Brockway mountain. It sure is a pretty view. It started to sprinkle so we went back to camp. Jacob wanted to take a bath in the sink instead of a shower tonight. The boys were sleeping by 10:00. Thats about the time we went to bed.
