Adam woke up at 6am. He came in our bed and fell asleep until I got up to take a walk to the bathrooms. When I got back we lay in bed and read books. Got up at 7:30. Jacob woke up at 8am. I was making the bed in our tent when Adam came to the door calling, "Mommy, Mommy". All Daddy had to say was one word, "pancakes" and Adam turned and headed over to Grandma's. He ate four pancakes for breakfast this morning. When I asked him if he wanted more he shook his head (and his upper body) yes. After breakfast we went for a walk with Grandma and Grandpa around the campground. At 10:30 we took a hike in the woods by "pebble" beach to find a letterbox we had found last year (no map this year, but sometimes we actually can count on Jared's memory:). Jacob liked putting the stamp in the book. Adam fell asleep in the backpack. We stopped to play at the black sand area. Jacob picked blueberries to carry back for Grandma and Grandpa. They were at the beach when we came out from the trail. Jacob gave them each some blueberries. We packed sandwiches for the boys and took a drive over to Hunter's Point. The boys ate on the benches and then we hiked the trail to the beach. Its a windy day so we were looking forwards to seeing some good waves. As we hiked the trail Jacob said, "I'm a good hiker, Adam's not a good hiker". The waves were very beautiful. We saw a young bald eagle flying over us towards the woods. Then we saw an adult bald eagle flying close to the shore, over the water. That was neat to see. The boys had fun playing in the rocks. When I'd ask Adam a question like "do you want this stick", he'd nodd his head yes. Jacob liked when Daddy burried him in the small rocks. Adam wanted his legs burried. Jared found a few small agaits. We also found some pretty rocks. On our hike back Jacob tripped and fell onto a rock. I carried him a little ways until he was ready to get down and walk again. I was telling him what a great hiker he was when he said, "I'm not a greak hiker on the rocks". We got back to the car at 2:30. Stopped at Dennis's on the way back. Grandma and Grandpa were there. It was around 3pm when we got back to camp. Adam took a nap and slept until shortly after 5pm. While Adam was napping, Jared and I relaxed in the chairs outside the tent. Jacob played with the wood and his tractor. He made a workshop out of his wood. Several times Jacob went over to visit with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma and Jacob took a walk. When I came back from a shower Adam was cuddling with Daddy in the chair. Grandma took Adam for a ride in the stroller. Jacob rode his tractor but he wanted to take a shortcut to go back and see Daddy. After dinner we went for a walk. Around 8pm we went out for ice cream. The boys usually have some of our ice cream in a bowl but tonight Jacob wanted his own on a cone. He picked green (mint choc chip) ice cream. After Adam was finished with his ice cream I asked him if he wanted to play on the truck. His eyes got big as he nodded his head yes. Adam likes to walk up and down the little ditch. When I told him not to walk on the road he quickly turned to grab my finger and pulled me towards the road. Back at camp Jared started a nice campfire. Grandma and Grandpa came over to sit around the fire with us. Adam sat in my lap a little while before going to bed. Jacob was so tired he could barely keep his eyes open as we talked about our day. Jared and I sat around the campfire until around 10:30.
