Jacob woke up during the night and crawled in bed next to me. He lay there for a little while and then I took him back to his bed. I tucked him in and he asked me to lay by him for a little bit. He was asleep very quickly. Jared and I woke up around 7:30am. Jacob crawled in our bed this morning and fell asleep. Jared took Truman for a walk. When I unzipped the tent to go out Adam woke up. This morning I worked on sewing patches onto Jacob’s jacket. Adam sat next to me eating his cheerios. He liked putting his cheerios into Daddy’s empty water container. Jacob woke up around 9am. We ate poptarts as we walked around camp. We stopped to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma was busy sewing. We took a walk over to “pebble” beach. The boys like walking the trail in the woods to the spot where we climb down to the beach. We stayed and played in the sand for about 45 min. The flies were biting. We got back to our site and had an early lunch. We left around 11:30 and headed over to the Central mine to search for Copper with Grandpa. When we started driving on the road Jacob said, “wou hou, were on our way”. Daddy carried Adam in the backpack. Jacob liked hiking on the rocks. He’d pretend the hills were boats. Grandpa let Jacob use his hammer as they looked for Copper. He stuck a couple pieces of Copper in his pocket. We took a hike over to the old stone building. As we started to head back home Daddy asked Jacob if he’d had fun. He said, “uh hu, I wanna do that gain later”. Grandpa stayed to search for more copper. Jacob started to cry saying he didn’t want to leave Grandpa. Grandma was working at Dennis’s so we stopped by for a visit. We picked out a few pieces of pottery we liked. Jacob played on the porch with Grandma. Then we walked around some shops in town. As we left, Jacob said to Grandma, “I want you a come with us”. Adam rode in the backpack and Jacob did a good job walking thru the stores with us. He got to get a piece of candy at the last store. It was almost 4pm by the time we got back to camp. I lay Adam down for a nap. Daddy and Jacob took a walk to get some firewood. When they got back Jacob seemed very tired so I took him in the tent so we could rest. Adam was still awake but soon all three of us were asleep. Adam woke up just before dinner, but Jacob slept thru it. Jacob woke up wet. He was too cranky to eat dinner so we took a walk. He was ready to eat when we got back to our site. Around 8pm we headed into town for some ice cream. The boys had fun playing on the ice cream truck. We got back to camp around 9:15. I opened the door to the van and saw a little mouse or mole in front of Jacob’s seat. It crawled all over the van before jumping out the door. Got the boys ready for bed and then we took a walk around camp. They liked playing with their light up toys in the dark. After the boys were in bed we made smores. It was 10:45 when we went to bed.
