Goodies at the Jampot.
Snacking on cookies by Jacob's Falls.
Jared and I woke up around 8am. It was thundering outside. We went outside to put the tarps on the dining fly. Jacob woke up and had to go potty, so we walked down to the bathroom with the umbrella. It was raining harder on our walk back to camp. Adam was awake by the time we came back. There was some really loud thunder and very bright lightning. We stayed under the dining fly. Adam made quite the mess of the paper. Jacob and I played with the triominos. After the rain had stopped Grandma took the boys over to their site while we waited for my hot choc water to heat up. Adam sat on Grandma’s lap as they blew bubbles. The boys came back to our site but soon Adam was calling, “Bampa, Bampa”. Grandma came over and Adam took her finger to walk back and see Grandpa. Grandma came with us on a walk around the campground. At 10:30 we headed over to the Jampot. We drove over Brockway mountain on our way there. As we were going up Jacob pointed and said, “my camping sites way over there”. After we got our goodies at the Jampot we took the short walk up the road to see Jacob’s Falls. The falls look beautiful this year. We sat by the falls and snacked on cookies. Back at camp we ate lunch. Then we went into town and watched Dennis Raku Firing. We got to see him take out some of Leslie’s pottery out. Dennis got a vase stuck in a bucket, but he was able to pry it out. We watched him put the vase in but were unable to stay and see him pull it out because the boys needed to get back for naps. We got back around 3:30. While the boys were napping we went over to visit with Grandma and Grandpa. Adam woke up around 5:30. Jacob was up by 6:30. We cooked hot dogs over the fire and made veggies in aluminum on the hot coals. After dinner Adam came over to me and pulled my finger. He took me to the road and then over to look for Grandpa calling, “Bampa” the whole time. Adam searched for Grandpa but he wasn’t at his site. Around 8pm we left for ice cream. Jacob was excited to sit at the little green picnic table to eat his ice cream. Adam tried amrita cherry for the first time. The boys like playing with the big checker pieces. Jacob enjoyed pretending he was selling ice cream from the back of the truck. He also pretended the truck was an “NOP (UPS)” truck. He said he was halling “little pieces of wood in boxes”. Adam kept Daddy busy as he kept trying to walk on the road. When we got back to camp we got the boys ready for bed and then put them in the strollers as we took a walk around camp. Grandma joined us. We sat around the fire for a little while. I quickly wrote in my journel before going to bed. I was using the headlamp and saw a spider crawl out from our blankets onto my lap. I called to Jared and just as he went to grab the spider my headlamp light burnt out. He assured me that he had gotten it.
