Jared and I woke up around 9:30. Jared made me some coffee and then we took a walk around the campground. At 11:00 we started on our way to Mom's house to pick up the boys. On the way we stopped at meijer to pick out our anniversary cards. We found some we liked and then gave them to each other before putting them back. We sure had fun. Then we stopped to pick up donuts and I got a coffee. We got to Mom's at 12:30 and the boys were eating lunch. They ate their donuts. We sure did miss the little guys. Jacob said he wanted to stay at Nana's house. We took the boys outside to play for a while before leaving. On our way back to camp we stopped at home to check on the animals. We also stopped at a huge garage sale. I found a firetruck playhut for $1 that the boys had fun playing in. They also had fun playing in the dirt with their trucks and tractors. We cooked hot dogs over the fire for dinner. After dinner we took a walk to get ice cream cones. Then we took a hike thru the woods. We played a game of putt putt golf which was fun. After that Jacob wanted to ride his tricycle so we went for a short walk beside him. Then we took a long walk around the campground and then over to the playground. The boys had so much fun playing. They loved climbing, swinging, sliding, or being chased by Mommy or Daddy. They were giggling so hard. It was great fun! We got back to camp around 9pm. The boys were really tired so we tucked them in bed. Jared and I sat around the fire. Soon Jacob called Daddy needing help to go potty. He called Daddy again and said to him, "I went to sleep, (snoring sounds), I woke up and smiled at Adam, and he laughed". Daddy said both of them were laughing. I checked on them about 5 minutes later and they were both asleep. Jared and I went to bed at 11pm.

We were all up by around 9am. Jacob pushed trucks up and down the hallway. I folded laundry. The boys like putting laundry on their heads and running around. Jacob helped me find matches for socks. The boys and I sat on the couch to read books together. Adam only stayed for the first book then he went off to play with his blocks and dump truck. Adam sat on my lap and pointed to my eyes saying, “I (eye), I (eye)”. Then I asked him where my nose was. He pointed at my nose and said, “no (nose)”. After lunch I packed all our bags. Then I took care of the animals. Made sure they all had enough food and water for a couple days. We stopped at the library checked out Mike Mulligan and the steam shovel along with a couple other books by the same author. We stopped at blockbuster and got a few dvd's for Jared and I to watch tonight. Jacob picked out a Clifford dvd to watch at Nana's. We got to Jared's work at 3:30 and then headed over to Nana's house. We read Mike Mulligan and the steam shovel in the car on the way there. Jacob quietly listened to every word. Daddy was just as into the book. I lay Adam down for a late nap when we got there. First he and I got some extra cuddles as we sat on the bed. Jacob was excited to be staying at Nana's house. He, Daddy and Kenzie sat on the floor and looked at tractor magazines.
I won't be posting until probably Sunday pm. The boys are staying at Nana and Papa's until tomorrow. Jared and I are going out for an anniversary dinner and then driving to the campground and staying in my parents camper until Sunday. Tomorrow is our 5 year anniversary. In the morning we'll be driving back to pick up the boys at Nana's. We've talked about going to the sand dunes but not exactly sure what the plans are for Saturday. We will be staying another night at the campground with the boys.

Friday PM: Jared and I went out for dinner at Mongolian BBQ. We got to the campground around 7pm. Kenzie and Mom had decorated cards and left candy and gum on the table for us. We played a couple games of putt putt golf. We had such a fun time. The weather was really nice. I was second winner in both games. We then took a bike ride around the campground. We put the first movie in at 8:30. Had pop corn during the second movie. The last movie got done at 1:30.

Just a reminder. This is Jacob about a year ago.

Here is Adam about a year ago

Kenzie is helping Jacob get Papa's hat.

Jacob woke up shortly before 8am. He came in my bed for a little while. He looked at me and said, “mommy, I gonna give you a monster kiss”. We sat on the couch and watched Clifford. Then we read the digger books many times. Adam woke up at 9:30. He likes to “blow” the lights out as soon as I turn it on. After I change his diaper he gets really excited to throw it in the garbage for me. We called Papa to tell him Happy Birthday. Jacob played with his moon sand. I got out the small blow up pool and let Adam sit in it with some moon sand. He liked filling up and then dumping the container. Adam wanted me to read to him so we sat on the couch with some books. Jacob soon joined us. Adam pulled out the tunnel for me to open up. The boys pushed their dump trucks up and down the hallway and into the kitchen. At lunchtime Jacob poured the cheese in for mac-n-cheese but some of it spilled on my pants and the floor. I went to get a towel and then turned to find Jacob licking the cheese off the floor. He said, “I’m just trying to clean that up”. As I was pouring the mac-n-cheese in their bowls Jacob said to me, “Mommy I’m doing the potty dance, I gotta go pee”. After lunch we went in Adam's bedroom and got out the puzzles. We sat on the floor and played with them for a while. Then we went outside until naptime. First we collected 9 eggs from the coop. Jacob played in his sand. Adam found a long, thin board that he enjoyed carrying around. He took it up onto the deck with him but needed help getting back down the steps with it. He wasn't going to let go of that stuck board. Jacob rode in the driveway on the tricycle and I pushed Adam in the truck. Jacob climbed into the back of the truck so I could push them both around. He’d said, “ok, were at our camping site, lets get out”. We filled up the back of the truck with apples and took them over to the horses. Went back inside at 2:30. Adam took a nap until 5pm. Jacob watched his bulldozer video and then asked to play with his moon sand. He requested to play with the blue sand instead of the gray. When Adam woke up Jacob was still playing with the sand. I was changing Adam when Jacob decided to put a bunch of moon sand into his dump truck and take it to our bedroom. He dumped it onto the carpet. and then drove over it to pack it down. Luckily the stuff vacuums up really easy and doesn’t stain – love that stuff. Jared came home from work around 5:30. We ate dinner and then headed to the campground to celebrate my Dad’s 60th birthday with cake and ice cream. Jacob fell asleep on the drive there. Jared and Kenzie went to play a game of golf. Grandpa told me, “you can’t beat that Kenzie with a stick”. He and my Mom have yet to beat her in a game of tonk or golf. We took a walk around the campground with Nana and Papa. It was dark when we got back to the campsite. We left around 10:30. Both boys were sleeping by the time we got home. As we got near our driveway we noticed an awful skunk smell. It was much worse when we stepped out of our car.

Adam loves putting woodchips into the holes.

Jacob driving on the blue step.

Jacob and Ty.

After taking the pictures of Adam and Daddy on the ball I found Jacob filling his tractor with gas (flour).

Funny hairdo after his bath.

Both boys woke up around 7am but they both quickly fell back to sleep. Jacob came into the bedroom shortly after 8am. He wanted me to lay in bed with him and turn the heater on. He was coughing so I asked him how he was feeling. He said, “not good, look, I need some ty-in-all (Tylenol)”. We went out to sit on the couch and watched Clifford. Adam woke up around 9am. The boys played on the floor with their cars and trucks. Adam climbed up on the couch and pointed at the sheep saying, “baa, baa”. Around 10:45 we left and headed over to the library. We went down to the lower level kids area. Adam really enjoyed getting books to bring to the table. Then he’d climb up on the chair and turn the pages of the book. He did not want me to read to him. I read many books to Jacob and he really enjoyed it. After each book I’d hear, “I wanna read that one again”. Jacob requested train, truck, and tractor books. After we had been there for about an hour, a lady came to let us know that today the library was closing at noon for training. We picked out several books to check out and take home with us. We had a nice time and I am looking forward to our next visit to the library. Outside the library, we sat at a picnic table to eat our lunch. Stopped at Tim Horton’s for coffee and got the boys each a Timbit. Then we headed to a nearby park. We sat in the woodchips by the playground and the boys enjoyed watching a tractor that was scooping dirt. Then they ran over to play on the climbing bars. Jacob met a boy his age and they had fun playing together. They sat next to each other on the blue step and "drove". Jacob always made sure they were buckled up. Ty said they were driving to play hide-n-seek. Jacob and Ty ran over to some big trees where they took turns counting and hiding. Every time, they’d hid behind the same big tree. Then they'd run back to drive on the blue step again. They also had fun playing “McDonalds” by the ladder. Adam had fun finding sticks and carrying handfuls of woodchips. He also loved playing on the snake shaped monkey bars. We stayed there until 2:30. When we got home Adam took a napped until 5pm. Jacob and I sat on the couch and read the books we had gotten at the library. Jacob spread his blanket out on the floor with a pillow, so he could lye there looking at books while he was resting. When Adam woke up we sat in the rocker and read a few books. Adam’s favorite book that we got today is called “Gossie” (we have the book “Gossie & Gerdie” which he also enjoys) and Jacob favorite two books are “Dig!” and “Digger Man”. Jacob played with the moon sand and Adam colored (watched the crayons as he dropped them to the floor) while I prepared dinner. Adam had just as much fun picking up the crayons as he did dropping them. Jacob saw me using the flour and asked to play with some. He liked flattening it out by rolling his blocks over it and he also loved how soft it is. He asked me to feel how soft it made his hands. Adam had fun bouncing on the exercise ball with Daddy. Adam would bounce along and then say “weeee” when he wanted Daddy to roll with him to the floor. He’d come right back to Daddy saying, “baw, baw (ball)”. A couple times before coming back to Daddy he’d run to smile right in Jacob’s face. While we waited for dinner in the oven, we went outside. Checked the garden and picked a few things. Jacob and I ran thru the tall corn. Jacob took off his flip flops so he could climb the wrong way up the slide. Adam asked to swing. The boys loved when Daddy pushed them on the swing really high. This evening Jared had a 2 hr orientation for an online class he is taking. As Jacob and I lay in his bed and talked about the day, he told me he wanted a trucks and tractor park. In the book “Digger Man” the boy makes a park that he calls his Digger park. Then Jacob named all the people he wanted to play at his park and wiggled as he said, “I’m so excited”.
