Thank-you Grandma!!!

I got up at 6am to exercise. Jacob was up shortly after 8am. After breakfast he got out the blocks to play with. After building something he'd say, “That’s for you.” We held chicks until Adam woke up at 9:30. It was a beautiful day (sunny and low 60’s). We went outside around 10:30. Jacob helped me put air in my bike tires. We went for a bike ride down our road. The boys had a great time being pulled in the cart. They kept asking to go over more bumps. When we got back home Jacob asked to ride his tricycle so I brought that outside. The boys had fun playing on the old fallen tree and running around in the paddock. Around noon we went inside to pack lunches and ate on the deck. After the boys were done eating Jacob brought out some ride on vehicles to play with. We went to the barn to check on the chicks. So far we’ve lost 9 and some others don’t look so good. We came back inside at snack time and read some books together. I rubbed Adam's back as he cuddled on my lap. He smiled and said, “Nana did it.” Then he asked, “Rock-sin (rocking) chair?” As I rocked him he said, “Wish-a Nana’s (I wish Nana was) here, Papa’s here.” Jacob came to cuddle on my lap too. As I sang some songs the boys liked pushing their on/off buttons to have me continue or stop singing. When I tucked Adam in his crib he called for Jacob. Jacob lay next to him and Adam said, “Go Mommy.” I left them together for a while. They sure were giggling. When I came back in the room they were hiding under the blankets. Jacob and I went back outside. He played on the deck while I did a 30 min run. Then he rested in his bedroom while playing with some cars. Adam was up around 4:00. He and Jacob sat at the table cutting notecards. Jared brought home a package for the boys from Grandma. They were excited to open it and love their placemats – thank you so much!! Adam showed me the barn one as he pointed out and named things on it. He then jumped up and down clapping and saying, “More presents!” We went outside to check on the chicks. Jared tilled some of the garden and the boys found some worms. After dinner we took a bike ride. The boys sure enjoyed the ride. They made noises as we went over bumps. We fed the animals after getting back from our bike ride. It was past pj time when we came inside.

What a cool day on the farm. It looks like the world is huge when you look out over your fields.
