Backyard trail. Jacob's gate.

I was up around 6am and Jacob was up by 8. He asked to type on the computer so he did that for a little while. As I walked into Adam’s bedroom he turned to show me his shadow on the wall saying, “sha-oh Mommy.” I brought him down to my bedroom and we lay on the bed together. He got down and grabbed Truman’s collar. As he pulled him to the bed he said, “Trumen, bed.” I called Truman and he jumped onto the bed. Adam then pointed at him saying, “Trumen, tit (sit).” He then noticed my camera on the dresser and picked it up. As he handed it to me he said, “Deres camma (camera). On dere,” pointing back at the dresser. The boys picked their barn placemats to use during breakfast. Adam turned his over to look at the other side and said, “Name on dere.” Jacob looked at Adam and asked, “Adam’s your left eye feel better?” That’s the eye he got soap in. Adam got on Jacob’s bicycle and said, “Mommy, diving (driving) bicycle.” We watched Clifford and some of Sesame Street using the antenna. Jacob played at the counter with rice and Adam played with moon sand. When Adam saw that I’d gotten out the sand he said, “Saaaaand! Yeeeeeeah!” After a while they switched, Jacob played with sand while Adam played with the rice. Adam then played on the tricycle. He got off to show me the screwdriver in his basket saying, “Scoo-diber in dere.” I love how he says screwdriver. He pretended to tighten the screws of the tricycle. I attached the tricycle handle and then took turns pushing the boys around on it. It was Jacob’s turn when I smelled that Adam had a dirty diaper. I let Jacob know I was going to change Adam and then I’d come back to give him a ride. He said, “It’s ok, I will be patient. I will wait right here.” During one of Adam’s rides he let go and fell off. He laughed and Jacob hurried over driving his ambulance. We then had fun playing doctor. After lunch Jacob put all the baby chicks in the shopping cart. One of them pooped and he decided he didn’t want them in there anymore. He also tried some in their little toy barn. Around 1pm we went outside. We wore our water boots and had fun walking around in the water. Jacob came over to me and said, “I love doing this.” We also took a walk on the trail thru our woods. Adam walked under a fallen tree and said, “Tunnel Mommy.” The boys picked some pinecones and needles off a tree. When Adam noticed another pine tree he pointed and said, “More pinecones on dere!” Jacob carried Tiger on our walk. He’d set him down as we stopped to play and pick him back up as we continued on. Before going back inside the boys had some more fun in the water. Adam got water over his boots as he ran thru the water. He had really wet pants and socks. We came inside at snack time. I tucked Adam in for a nap at 3pm. Jacob rested while playing with the legos. I did a 30 min run. Jacob was typing on the computer and asked, “Mommy, am I a great typer?” To my reply he said, “Then I want to type every day.” Jacob and I went outside and soon after that Jared came home from work. Daddy and Jacob wore their water boots and had a good time walking in the water. We took care of the animals before going back inside. Adam woke up just before dinner was ready. After dinner we headed to the Nature center to go hiking. We took the 1.7 miles loop hike. The boys loved seeing the muskrats swimming by the waters edge. Adam carried two rocks in his hand from start to finish. The boys walked (or ran) just about the entire distance. Jacob liked running between Jared and I as we held hands. It sprinkled some as we were walking thru the woods. We all had a great time. It sure was a beautiful evening for hiking. We got home around 8:45.

That picture of the boys walking together between the rows of trees reminds me of something from Winnie-the-Pooh. It just looks like something Christopher Robin and Pooh would do. Cute picture.

Have you read any Pooh to Jacob? Do you need some copies of the books?

Christopher and Pooh are great friends just as I know Adam and Jacob will be. Water pictues are great. Lots to learn about splashing water, falling in water holes and just getting dirty. JB's favorite as I remember.
