When I went into Adam's room this is how I found him.
He loves this puzzle.
I had to wake both boys this morning. We left around 8:45 and headed over to the church. When Jacob saw Jerry (the man that helps with the kids) he started jumping up and down as he said, "Hi!" We all had fun. After snacktime the kids watched a David and Goliath veggie tales dvd. Jacob looked like he was going to cry as he watched it. He told me he was scared and asked if we could turn it off. We sat down and played with a wooden birthday cake set. The kids were having a hard time deciding who was going to cut the cake (there was a wooden knife that cut thru the velcro). I held the knife as we sang "Happy Birthday" to all of them. Then they all blew out the wooden candles . They helped me take off the candles and then they each took turns cutting their own piece. Then we'd put it back together to start over. At 11:45 we headed over toSalvation army> Mom was supposed to meet us there at noon. She wasn't there around 12:45 and I started to get worried. Soon after that she showed up. I was glad to see her. She took us out to Tim Horton's. The boys enjoyed choc milk and donuts. I got a capuccino and a muffin. Mom ate a late lunch. Thanks Mom for the yummy treats! We walked around Goodwill. Then we went to meijer. Adam fell asleep in the van so Mom sat in there with the boys while I went into meijer for some groceries. Adam woke up as I loaded the groceries. We got home around 3:30. Jacob fell asleep on the drive home and slept until 5pm. I lay Adam down but his short nap in the car must have been enough. He was quiet for a while but soon was chatting away. After getting him up I took him outside for a little bit. It was sprinkling. When Jacob woke up he asked for Nana. He cried when I told him she had gone home. We went out to fazoli's for dinner. Then we walked around Best Buy. We had fun playing the Wii they have on display. We played a driving Mario game and you drove holding a steering wheel. Adam wanted to try so I helped him hold the wheel. I helped Jacob also but soon he wanted to do it all by himself. We got home around 7:30. First we walked out to lock up the chickens. Jacob carried my headlamp because it was dark and we hadn't collected the eggs yet today. I set Adam down and he ran right for the puddle. It seems liked he is drawn to them puddles. As we were walking back to the house, I bet Jared that Adam would walk thru the puddle. It was dark and I thought he was going to miss it but sure enough he made a sharp left turn to walk right thru it. He cracks me up. Jacob and I played at the counter with his matchbox cars. He looked at me and said, "were friends". For some reason today Jacob has liked to say the word "California". Daddy played with Jacob while I gave Adam his bath. Then Daddy and Adam played with the puzzle while Jacob took his bath. Jacob likes to play with the fishing poles. I fished with him using Adam's pole. He'd say, "do you need my help, let me help you".

Puzzles --- there are tales of Doug and Rick dumping out the pieces of ALL their wooden puzzles (each of you of the younger generation has some of them) and then putting them all back together from the mixed-up pile of pieces. Could Adam do 2 puzzles at once? I'll bet Jacob could . . . (with some adult support at first).
