This morning Adam and Max woke up around 8am. We listened threw the monitor as Max was whispering to Adam. Jacob woke up around 8:30. We left shortly around 9:15 for church. I walked with the boys back to their classes. Jacob held Max’s hand as they walked ahead of Adam and I. He took him to the front row of chairs. Then Jacob turned in front of Max and gently pushed his shoulders for him to sit down. I watched from the back corner of the room as Jacob smiled at Max and rubbed his back and head. We got home around 11pm. The boys played with their cars and the tunnel until lunch was ready. They also had fun playing with the musical instruments. All three of them were pounding on the drum with the other instruments. We had pizza for lunch. The boys each ate the brownies that Nana left for them. I gave Max a quick haircut. He did really well. He kept saying, “Am I getting a quick haircut, am I”. Then Jacob and Max played with their cars on the couch. All three boys napped this afternoon. Jacob watched a couple episodes of I Love Lucy with us before he fell asleep. I gave Jared a haircut while the boys were sleeping. Adam woke up at 5pm. Jacob and Max were awake by 5:15. We headed over to a nearby pumpkin farm. First the boys ran over to pet the goats thru the fence. Then we walked over to look at all the pumpkins. All three of the boys were trying to lift some pumpkins. They had fun running up and down the rows between the pumpkins. We watched a man on a tractor dump a load of pumpkins over the gate to feed to the cows. We then stood by the gate to watch the cows eat. We looked at some baby chicks and then the boys got to pet a miniature donkey. The weather was nice and cool. We got home around dinnertime. This evening we carved pumpkins with the boys. We did Jacob’s pumpkin first. All the boys helped dig out the pumpkin guts. Then Daddy carved the face. He asked Jacob what shapes he wanted for the eyes and nose. Then Jacob told Daddy he wanted it to have five teeth and a tongue. They also added ears and eyebrows. On Max’s pumpkin he wanted circle eyes and a circle nose. He also asked for it to have two teeth but one tooth broke off. Adam’s pumpkin sits sideways and Daddy did a nice job on it also. I gave Adam a bath while Jacob and Max played. Then Jacob and Max had fun playing in the tub. They came out to find their pumpkins lit up and sitting on the counter. They were very excited to look at them. After a little playtime in the dark it was time to settle down for bedtime. The boys were in bed by 9pm. Jared and I had some popcorn and watched episodes of I Love Lucy. We were so into the show that neither of us noticed Jacob come out of his bedroom. He was standing by the couch watching the TV. When we did notice him he smiled and said, "I gotta go potty". We baked the pumpkin seeds and they turned out really yummy. All three pumpkins came from Mom's garden - thanks Mom!

Stop holding back the details -- what episodes of Lucy have you seen on your gifts?????
I love how the boys are so into their cars. Cute picture. I also like the one with the three of them on the slide. They love the slide as much as you girls did when you were little. Brings back memories. Love ya!
On this night we watched: Redecorating the Mertzes apartment(feathers all over the newly painted room), Too Many Crooks ("Madame X"), Changing the Boys Wardrobe (Lucy and Ethel sell Ricky and Fred's old, raggedy clothes to a second-hand store, and Lucy has her Eyes Examined (Arthur "King Cat" teaches Lucy a jitterbug dance).
