Walk thru the woods. Adam soon went running ahead of us.

Jacob smiling after getting pecked by the chicken.

Adam is unhappy that I stopped pushing him to take a picture.

Jacob loves to build "houses" using alot of different toys.

We were all up around 8am. We watched Curious George before eating breakfast. The boys enjoyed waffles for breakfast. After they were dressed and ready for the day we watched Clifford. Around 10:30 we went outside. First we collected eggs in the coop and let out the chickens. Then we took a fun walk on the path thru our woods. It was cool and windy today (40 degrees). Then we went in the barn because Jacob wanted to check for eggs. Jacob found a hen sitting on eggs in the hay. He reached under her to collect the eggs and got pecked on his mittens several times. That sure made him laugh. The boys sat on the tractors and pretended to drive. We went back in the coop where Jacob found another egg under a hen. Then I got out a couple tricycles for the boys to play on. It was close to lunchtime when we went back inside. After lunch Jacob made a “house” under the counter. Adam and I sat under there with him. He looked at me and said, “this is one of my favorite house”. I looked up, under the counter and noticed some of Jacob's green marker artwork. Jacob brought out several stuffed animals and we had fun playing with them. We took them to my bed and Jacob wanted to pretend the bed was a “rocket ship”. The comforter buttons were on/off switches that "only Mommy’s and big boys could use". Then we played a fun game of “tag your it”. Jacob lined the stools up and we pretended it was a train. He was the driver and said, “look, were going to the leaf store to buy leaves, then we’ll do something special with them”. I read to Adam and then tucked him in for a nap. He napped from 3-5pm. Jacob and I cuddled on the couch and read some books. Then we played with the foam blocks. While he rested today he played with his blocks and cars at the little table. Jared came home soon after Adam woke up. After dinner we went outside to take care of the animals and check for more eggs. Jared had class this evening from 7:30-10:30pm. Jacob was in a testy mood this evening. I got out the art box and paper and we had fun with that at the counter. Then Jacob asked to paint. I got out the water colors for Jacob and finger paints for Adam. They sure enjoyed painting. Then they played in the tub until bedtime. After their bath I read to Adam and tucked him in. Jacob and I cuddled in the rocking chair and sang songs. He especially liked the song, “where is thumpkin’s”. I had to laugh when he said, “I wanna sing the where's pumpkin song gain”. After tucking Jacob in bed I sat in the chair and read a book. I looked up to see Kate on the counter. She walked thru the wet painted pictures before jumping onto the couch and tracking paint onto the floor.

The walk through the woods pictures are great. It looks very chilly. It's interesting that Jacob laughed when the chickens pecked him. I never thought that was a funny experience. And DOGS. They can be worse then kids. Bad Kate. Don't you love her?

The second one said, "There are witches in the air!" [POINT AND WIGGLE INDEX FINGER]

The third one said, "Ah! We don't care!" [MIDDLE FINGER]

The fourth one said, "Let's run! Let's run!" [RING FINGER]

The fifth one said, "Isn't Halloween fun?" [PINKIE]

LOL! I thought of the same pumpkin rhyme when I read this morning. Andrew's not quite into the fingerplays yet, but we've tried that one a few times this season.

Man...5 little pumpkins sure brought back memories. The fifth one said I'm waiting for some fun. Then it's swish went the wind. I think Adam would be ready for this. I love Adams little picture where he is so sad his mother isn't pushing him. He looks like he's stuffed to the max. I would love to see a picture of JB and Adam together with the same facial expression. I bet they would be "twins".
