"Mommy, this stick is tall as you".
I got up around 7am and the boys were up by 8am. At 8:45 we headed to the church where I watch the kids on Wednesday’s. Jacob was excited to see his friend BoBo. Right away he took some cars to him and asked if he wanted to play. They lay on the road rug and played with the cars. Last week I gave the man, who helps me with the kids, a dozen eggs. He wasn’t there today, but his wife came in with a bunch of quarters for “the little boy who collects the eggs”. Jacob excitedly put the coins in his pocket. We left around 11:30. Ate a packed lunch. Then we walked thru Salvation Army and Goodwill. While we were walking around Goodwill Jacob found this “time to learn” baseball clock. He liked moving the hands and seeing the time change. When we were leaving I told him to put the toy back. He said, “look, I collected eggs, I have money, I can pay for this”. He used his money to buy it and was really happy that he still had some quarters to take home. We stopped at meijer for some groceries. While Adam was napping, Jacob and I put together a puzzle. After we got it together he said, “I wanna do that again”. Then he sat at the counter and counted the money in his bank. He also played with his barn set. He likes to put his coins in the tractor’s trailer. Jared came home around 5pm. The three of us sat on the floor and put together the puzzle again. Then Daddy and Jacob played with the barn. I went for a bike ride. Adam was awake when I got back. After dinner Daddy and Jacob played with the barn again. Adam and I went in his bedroom to play. He lay next to me on the floor as we put together a puzzle. Then he got out his bus and
“be-po(people)”. He puts the people into seats and pushes it around. Lately, Adam really likes to turn lights off/on. Tonight he pointed at the light switch and said, “dight”. This evening we went for a walk down our road. It’s a cold and windy day (high 40’s). We played in the sand for a little while before going inside. They boys had such cold little hands. They enjoyed some hot chocolate. Adam was pushing around a tractor and Jacob said, “I wanna push around a big sheen (machine) too”. He found his dump truck and they pushed them around the house. They sure love pushing their trucks and tractors around together. At bath time Adam wanted to climb over the side of the tub just like Jacob does. He lifted his leg and wanted me to help him climb over. They had fun playing with boats and people in the tub. Jacob said, “when were all done with a bath, I want Adam to play with a big tractor sheen and I wanna play with a big dump truck sheen. I’m so excited”. They had a little time to play before reading bedtime books.
