The boys playing with their bears.

Jacob putting a diaper on "Berry".

Winter coats are out.

Adam really likes this little rainbow colored sticker on the front of my camera. He points at it and says, "boom-bow (rainbow)".

He is "weeping (sweeping) the tree".
Yummy smores.

This is the only moment Adam held that sticky smore. After this picture he dropped it. He only would take a bite of the smore if I held it for him.

Adam woke up around 8:30. He was talking a lot in his crib and I enjoyed listening to him thru the monitor. When I did go to get him, he didn’t want to get out of his crib. He was pointing at all the little dinosaurs on his pj’s. I told him they were dinosaurs and then he kept saying, “die-dee-doe (dinosaur)” as he pointed at them. When I went to put his pj’s away he begged for them saying, “die-dee-doe, die-dee-doe”. I got out a book called “How Do Dinosaurs clean their room?” and read it to the boys. We watched Clifford this morning. After breakfast, the boys were playing with the magnetic barn that hangs on our fridge. Suddenly Jacob screamed and held his arm saying, “Adam chewed on my arm”. Adam had bitten him and left a bruise. I told Adam, “No biting, biting hurts” and let him know that if he bit again we’d have to used “the gate”. I held and comforted Jacob. Very soon they were back to running around playing together. At around 11am we went outside to go on a bike ride. It was cool outside (low 40’s). The boys again liked making noises over the bumps in the road. Then we let the chickens out of their coop. We counted to three and opened the door. It sure is fun to open their door and watch them run and fly out around us. I pulled the boys around in the wagon. We pretended it was a train. Jacob would shout, “all aboard” and we made train sounds. Then we played in the sand for a little while. I picked green peppers from the garden and the boys helped me carry them inside. We went inside and had lunch. I cut up the green peppers for freezing. Jacob was teasing Adam with a ball that he wanted. As Jacob lay on the ball, I saw Adam bend over to bite Jacob on the head. I quickly said, “No biting” and he stopped. Adam wanted me to read the dinosaur book again. He cuddled next to me as we read. Jacob pilled a bunch of toys, tractors, the slide, and the big horse and said he was making a big fire. He wanted to pretend we were roasting marshmallows. As I lay on the floor, the boys took turns “riding the space ship”. We’d count backwards from ten and then I’d lift them up using my feet on their belly. Adam didn’t get much of a nap yesterday and was very tired this afternoon. He slept for 3 hrs. Jacob and I read some books. Then he rested in his bedroom while playing with his semi truck and some stuffed animals. I did laundry and some sewing while he was resting. Jacob and I had fun putting his puzzle together. Then he sat at the counter and played with several of my bobbins while I finished sewing up a bib I’d started. He likes to haul some bobbins in his hot wheels dump truck. He also liked to take some of the thread from the bobbin and pretends to fill the truck up with gas. Adam woke around 5pm. We went outside to play on the deck. Jacob brought out his tractor and cart. Adam brought out the school bus and a few people. If one of the people would fall out or tip over, Adam would stop and say, “uh oh” as he fixed them. I held my hand out and said, “red light (sometime yellow or green light)” as Jacob came near me with his tractor. Occasionally he would stop, but usually he’d speed thru the red light. He’d laughed so hard as I pretended to be a policeman chasing him, making siren sounds. I'd catch him and give him a ticket. Adam started copying Jacob and wanted me to chase him also. Jacob would drive really slowly when I’d say, “yellow light”. We played this until Daddy came home. The boys hid under the table and excitedly waited for Daddy to find them. Jared had gotten me a cappuccino on the way home. He took the boys inside, but wouldn’t let me come in. They came back out with surprises for Mommy. Adam was carrying a new winter hat and Jacob was carrying a nice plant (yellow Mum). What a thoughtful husband I have. We made tacos for dinner tonight. Jacob likes to run around the house saying, “Vamonos, lets go!”, something he learned from the book we got in the cheerios box. Jared folded laundry and I put it away. Adam brought me “Louie” (his bear) and then took me to the diaper holder and wanted me to get him a diaper. I put the diaper on the bear for him and he carried him out to the living room. Jacob quickly went to get “Berry” and a diaper also. Around 7:30 we went outside to start one of our brush piles on fire. Got out the winter coats for the boys to wear, as it’s a cold evening. The fire started off like a tall torch with lots of shooting ashes. It was really neat. Jacob was really protective of Adam by the fire. If he thought Adam was getting to close or heading towards the fire he'd hold him and cry for us saying, "I don't want Adam to go by the fire". The boys and I played hide and seek around the nearby trees. The boys would always hide by the same tree. I counted, and Jacob giggled behind the tree as I said, “ready or not, here I come”. He would hide behind the tree, but Adam would hide in the front. Adam wiggled excitedly with his head right up against the tree. I’d look behind a couple other trees before finding and tickling them. Then Adam and I hid while Jacob counted. Jacob said, “One, two, three, four, five, here I come!” He knew where we were, but turned around saying, “I wonder where Mommy is?" Then he quickly ran to find us. We roasted marshmallows and made smores. Then Daddy joined us in playing hide and seek. Daddy was hard to find. He hid in the tall grass next to the woods. Jacob loved when he’d jump out and said, “here I am”. Daddy and Jacob hid together while Adam and I looked for them. Jacob’s giggling always gave them away. We went back inside at 9:15.

What a long story. It makes me feel like I'm seeing the whole day. You've are on your toes with the biting stories. Can't remember that the big boys did that but then there some things I forget as soon as they happen. You said cold and not cool. The coats and hats prove it. We are cool and not cold. Thanks for the day.

Maybe Adam would like to help you make some gingerbread people. They are safe and GOOD to bite.

I'm thinking about putting on arm warmers here in Big D for my bicycle riding. It was in the
60's at 8am at the start of the ride but did warm up nicely to the 70's at the end of the ride approx 12N. We did work up a little sweat also. I would look funnier in a winter hat (as in MI)over/under my bicycle helmet.
