Jacob is in the "ambulance".
Daddy found a snake.

Adam tries, but is not too gentle.
Jacob thought he'd show Adam how to pet the snake.

Jacob holding the snake.

Letting it go.

Following it.

Jacob woke us at 8am. We watched Curious George and then ate breakfast. Adam was still sleep at 9:30 so I peeked in his bedroom to check on him. He wasn’t sleeping, just quietly sitting up and holding his doggie. We went to the 11:00 church service. When we picked Jacob up from his class he showed us the rainbow he had made. When I asked him if he knew what the rainbow meant he said, “God will never never flood the earth again”. After church we picked up a pizza and then headed over to the “wood park”. We ate at the picnic table and then it was play time. Its a beautiful, sunny day (mid 70's). First the boys played on the wooden train and the fire truck. Jacob likes say, “I gotta fix the tires” as he walks around and checked each tire. Its a very large place. Adam and Daddy went one way and Jacob and I went the other way. Jacob wanted me to follow him. He’d say, “I gotta show you how to get outta here, follow me”. Jacob and I had fun swinging on the big tire. Then he wanted to show Daddy the tire. Adam also liked swinging on it. Jacob took off somewhere so Jared and I went to find him. Well, we found him by the fire truck, naked butt and peeing. Jacob found some older boys to play with. One of the boys was driving the fire truck and Jacob said, “I wanna drive with that boy”. They moved to the space ship and Jacob followed them and climbed in. They had fun running all over the fort. Daddy was busy keeping an eye on him. He went to climb up on the fort with him but Jacob said, “you stay here”. Jacob stood and watched as the boys left. We had fun pretending the fire truck was an ambulance. Jacob was the patient being driven to the hospital. Then I’d be the doctor and give him an exam. Adam wanted to be examined by the “doctor” also. We headed home shortly after 2pm. On the way home Jacob said, “do you think I can play outside for a little bit?” We got home and Jacob collected the eggs. Then Daddy and the boys played on the fort for a little while. Jacob and Adam both napped until 5pm. While Jared was working on the brush pile he found a snake. He put it in a bucket to show the boys when they woke up. I had more fun on the sewing machine. The boys liked petting the snake. Jacob wanted to keep it in the bucket for a little bit. We rode with Daddy as he pulled the trailer full of brush over to where it’s going to be burned. Jacob sat up by Daddy while Adam and I sat in the back. They always love when they get to go for little rides out of their car seats. We then went up to play on the big sand hill. Then Jacob said, “I wanna play tag your it”. We had fun playing tag together. The boys liked running down the hill in the paddock. We had fun with milkweed seeds. The boys love running thru them as they float to the ground. Before going back inside we had final pets for the snake before releasing him. Adam’s petting was not always gentle so Jacob took his hand to help show him how to be more gentle. Jacob liked holding the snake. He let him go and then we followed the snake until we couldn’t see it anymore. It was 6:30 when we went inside for dinner. After dinner we got out the Little People things to play with. The boys loved when Mommy and Daddy took turns swinging each of them in a blanket. Adam fusses now when I carry him to his bedroom to lay him in his crib. As soon as I lay him down he is content and falls right to sleep.

That first picture of Adam with his arms up behind his head and the later one of him turning around from a window (or something) are both cute. He is really photogenic, isn't he?

Of course, so is Jacob. I have a sense that Adam cannot look toward your camera without smiling.

By the way, I want to remind the parents to remember to sweep stuff into the taped square before sweeping into the dustpan. The point of the square is to help little ones define a space into which they sweep junk. Adults (and older kids) can visualize such a space, without having tape on the floor. If the adults sweep into the taped square, too, then the little ones will get the whole picture.

Thanks for the tip.

Adam is really photogenic. That first picture I just held my camera back in Adam's direction and that what I got. He likes to smile for the camera.
