Adam likes to furrow his brow when he is asked a question. I tried to get it on camera but can't seem to get it. Here is a try.

Jacob likes to roll up the tape measure in my sewing kit.

Jacob had fun cutting scrap material.

Jacob picked some flowers for Aunt "Bippi". He told her they were Mommy's favorite flowers.

The kids love Kenzie!

They had tons of fun playing with the tunnel.

Thats Kenzie under there. Kenzie is so much fun.

Kenzie reading to the kids.

Kenzie made up a game where she would throw the ball at one of the kids. Then they'd have to think of an animal name.

Jacob woke up around 8:30. We lay down until Adam woke up at 9am. After breakfast we watched Clifford. When I let the dogs outside this morning Jacob said, “Truman, don’t pee on Mommy’s flowers”. We played with blocks. Adam really likes to stack blocks. Jacob likes to build big buildings. Both of them like when I stack the blocks up and they knock them down. We enjoyed listening to music as we played. After lunch we went outside. Jacob collected the eggs. Adam went right to playing in the sand. We had fun playing with bubbles. The boys chased the bubbles as I blew them. Then they took turns spraying the hose with the nozzle on jet stream. Adam could push the nozzle with both his thumbs if I held the hose for him. Jacob pretended they were firemen. Both of them got wet. They liked to be sprayed when it was on mist. I got my head soaked by Jacob. We went a little ways in the woods. Adam would hide behind a little tall grass and want me to find him. Jacob found some leaves to bring in and give to his caterpillars. It was snack time when we came back inside. We sat on the couch and read many books. Then I tucked Adam in for his nap. Jacob played with his cars on his quilt from Grandma. He likes to pretend there are roads. He pointed to one spot on the quilt and said, “this is mish-i-gen, cars live in mish-i-gen, see them drive there”. When he is asked where he lives he says, “way up in Mish-i-gen”. He watched his airplane video. Then he sat at the counter and watched me cut material for some burp cloths. I gave him all the scrap material and his scissors. He had fun cutting it up. Vikki, Kenzie and a couple kids they are watching came over for a visit. Soon after they arrived Jared got home from work. After dinner we took the kids outside. I saddled up Sammy so they could ride. The little girl loved riding and would have probably stayed up there the rest of the night. They had fun playing on the fort/slide/swing. We went back inside at 7:30. Jared had class tonight. The kids loved playing with each other and especially with Kenzie. When I brought out the tunnel they got really excited. They left at 8:30. I played with the boys for a little bit before getting them ready for bed. After brushing their teeth they wanted to turn off the light. They giggled at their light up toothbrushes. Then I read books and sang to Adam as I rocked him. After he was tucked in for the night I cuddled on the couch and read some books to Jacob. He loves listening to bible stories. Then we cuddled in the rocker and sang songs together.

So, if Jacob can cut up scrap material, is he ready to combine the scraps into a quilt? If he is not so good at sewing yet, maybe some fabric glue and some white muslin would allow him to arrange his scraps on another piece of fabric. He could put a cotton ball under each cut piece before he glues it down to give his quilt some puffiness.
