Jacob crawled into our bed around 8am. He put a pillow over our heads and said we were under a tent. Soon Adam was awake. Jared went outside and found out that we had trapped a large skunk. We left at around 9:30 for drinks and donuts. On the way we stopped to visit the "ATM lady". As we drove away from the ATM, Jacob quickly let us know that we had forgotten to tell "the lady" that we were going to get chocolate milk and donuts. We pulled around the back of the machine where there is a door and told Jacob that we'd tell her from there - she answered, so Jacob was happy to know that she had heard us. It seemed that all the places we visited today were very, very busy. We stopped at Salvation Army and Goodwill. Then we went to walk around in the pet store. The boys really enjoy looking at all the animals, fish, and reptiles. They also like petting a couple cats that walk around the store. I went into JoAnne Fabrics to get some red fabric. They were very busy. We all went into Walmart for a couple things. Jacob picked out a new toothbrush. As we were heading home we noticed a yellow fire truck, a school bus, a couple police cars, and an ambulance for display in Home Depot's parking lot. We drove over there to check it out. Adam loved sitting in the fire truck. He sat behind the steering wheel with such a cute smirk on his face. Jacob acted shy at first. I went up in the back of the fire truck with him and he really liked that. Then he wanted to sit in the driver's seat. We walked around the outside of the fire truck to point out the hoses, ladder, tools, and gauges. Jacob also pointed things out with an explanation as to what he thought they were used for. We then walked thru the school bus. The boys liked walking up and down the row between the seats. We had fun looking out the bus windows. They took turns sitting in the driver's seat. We talked to the school bus driver. She gave the boys some crayons, coloring books, a pencil, and a sharpener. Then we looked at the police cars and watched the firemen spraying the fire extinguishers. The boys liked their sticker badges and the fireman hat. They also had fun walking in the back of the ambulance. We got home around 1:30. Jared mowed the lawn. Around 2:30 I lay Adam down for a nap. Jacob played with his moon sand and I did some sewing. After Jared was done mowing he came inside for a little bit. Jacob went outside with Daddy and watched him fix a part on the Geo. Then they cleaned up the workshop. Soon Adam was awake and we went outside to find Daddy and Jacob. The dogs were begging to go out so they came out with us. Jared was working on making a new switch for his table saw. I forgot about the dogs until Kate came into the workshop. Suddenly there was a strong skunk smell. She got sprayed again and tonight she sleeps in the barn. We decided to deal with the skunk tomorrow. We’ll be taking it for a trip down the road. Hard thing about this one is that there is a large brick on top of the trap, which needs to be removed without startling the skunk. We went out to fazoli’s for dinner. Then we walked around the mall. Took the boys to play at the train table in Barnes & Noble. We also walked around Sears and Target. The boys had fun sitting on the quarter rides in the mall. Jacob was sitting in the helicopter when Jared and I slowly knelt down to the floor. At first Jacob really thought he was going up. We headed home around 9:15. As we neared our driveway we saw our horses on the road. They had knocked their gate down. We led the horses back to their paddock and locked up the chickens.

Mercy, Mercy...more skunk. They like the country just as much as you do or did. Another packed day. Wondering if you are finished with the brush.

I guess Kate didn't remember what happened the first time with the skunk...have fun dealing with this one esp with the brick on top...should be a good story.

You slowly knelt down on the floor, huh? Clever parents.

How many more times will you get to do that before the boys and twins outgrow riding on the helicopter?
