Jacob having fun with glitter.

He loved making "pancakes" with the glue.

More soccer ball fun.

They were hiding from Mommy behind the chair. This is their expressions when I found them.

Posed smiles for Mommy.

We were all up around 8:30. After breakfast we got out the art bags. Jacob wanted a green paper and Adam wanted "boo (blue)". We colored with the markers. The boys like watching me draw things(fish, water, trucks, trees)on my paper. Jacob cut out pictures from a magazine and glued them onto his paper. Then he asked if he could use some glitter. He likes drawing buildings with windows, so he drew them with glue and added glitter. Then he put some glue on each of his dog pictures and said, “I putting pancakes on them”. He then added more “pancakes” to his picture. Adam had fun trying to walk around wearing my crocs. He got real fussy around 10:30. We sat on the couch and read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” several times. After I’d finish the book he’d say, “a-daa (again)”. Jacob rode around on his tractor with the stool over the steering wheel. He said, “this tractor is broken, that’s why I gotta drive it”. He told me he was going to get it fixed at the gas station. After lunch we went outside. It was another beautiful day. I cleaned out the nesting boxes in the chicken coop. Jacob helped me fill them up with fresh sawdust. He haled sawdust over to the coop using his dump truck. Then Jacob kicked his soccer ball around in the yard. I gave Adam pushes on the swing. Then Jacob wanted a turn on the swing. We had fun playing up in their fort. Jacob found a long stick and wanted to put a blanket over it. We went back inside at snack time. Adam napped from ~2:30–5pm. Jacob helped me fold laundry. First he haled dry laundry from the dryer to the couch using his tractor and cart. He likes to fold the dishtowels, washcloths, and piles up all the bibs. Jacob and I played with Mr./Mrs. Potato heads. We spread out all the pieces and each made up our own Potato head. Jacob said his was Daddy and mine was the Mommy. I had put a mustache and eyebrows on mine but Jacob thought I should take them off. He likes when we pretend their talking to each other. First he said we needed to get groceries, so our Potato heads drove to the store and went shopping. Then he asked if I wanted to go to "Olies (Fazoli's)" for breadsticks and pizza. The restaurant was under the desk – they drove there. We had to take the leftovers home and put them in our fridge. We changed our Potato head faces. Jacob put boots on his and said we needed to clean out the chicken coop. But we were all out of sawdust. We drove our trucks to get some more sawdust. Jacob smiled and said, “I love playing this”. Jared came home from work around 3:30. We are going to try and sell our eggs, so we worked on making a sign to put at the end of our road. Daddy gave Jacob a toolbox and put some tools and other things in there for him to play with. He really likes hammering nails that have been partially nailed into a board. Adam woke up around 5pm. We cuddled on the couch and read books. Jacob made a big pile of toys and told me he was building a fire. After dinner we headed to the Library for Circle Time. Today was all about rhymes. Jacob was excited to get a “rhyming box”. Inside the little box are rhyming pictures to match like – cat-hat, bear-chair, fox-box. Afterwards the boys had fun playing on the Thomas train table. We got home around 8pm. We had fun playing with the boys until it was time to get ready for bed.

I love that first picture of Jacob using the glitter. His expression is great. You can tell he's having so much fun. And I love the expressions on their faces when you found them hiding behind the chair. Glad you caught it on camera.

As always, great pictures (although I am still waiting for a photo of the coloring pictures) and I am especially intrigued by the insights into your life that the activities of Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head reveal.

I was wondering how the chickens were doing. How many eggs to you get a day? They can add up quickly. Wish I were closer. Another great day in the outdoors. It's cooler with a little rain today. Seasons are changing.
