I got a good laugh at Jared's measurment (pictured below) when I asked him what size boards he thought we would need. He put his foot on the side, bent over and hand up -somehow came up with 7 1/2 ft. It reminded me of an I Love Lucy episode where she measures wallpaper. When I teased him for it he decided to go get a tape measure. It measured exactly 7 1/2 ft just as he had said:)

The past few mornings when I walk in Adam's bedroom he is looking at his wall hanging. He always reaches for it when I pick him up and I take him over to it. He likes me to point out things on it and he likes to touch all the buttons. After church today we stopped at meijer to get pizza for lunch. Jacob came in with me to pick out a new toothbrush. He had a hard time deciding between the hotwheels one and the one that lights up. He chose the green light up one and was really excited to get out to the car and show Daddy. In the car I got it out of the package and started the its blinking light. Jacob quickly said, "NO, let ME show Daddy". After lunch we played for a little while before heading outside to plant our fugi apple tree. Jacob helped Daddy carry the shovel to the spot where we decided to plant the tree. Adam sat in the grass and watched and Jacob ran over to pet the goats. Jacob liked climbing in the hole Daddy had dug. Jacob helped push the dirt back in the hole and stomp it down. I took Adam up into the play fort and Jacob came up behind us. Adam seemed to really enjoy it up there. Jacob sat next to him with his feet hanging down the side. Adam kept trying to squeeze his head through. Meanwhile Daddy was in the barn and started up the tractor. Jacob wanted to hurry and get down, worried Daddy was going to empty the manure without him. Daddy was already coming to get him. They emptied the poop and I took Adam to swing. When they came back I just mentioned that it would be fun to make the boys a sandbox and Jared grabbed a shovel and started digging. We got the layer of grass off pretty quickly. Jared would score it with the shovel and I would pick it up with the fork and put it in the dump cart. It was heavy because the ground was so wet. Around 2:30 I went inside to put Adam down for his nap and then came back outside to help. He was tired from not getting a good nap yesterday and ended up sleeping almost 4 hours. Jacob sure had fun playing with the worms. Now Jared did the digging out and I emptied the cart. Jacob wanted to help so he raked the dirt. After the digging was done Jacob helped me plant some grass seed where we had put the dirt. Then Jacob played on his slide. He went back to visit the goats. Jared worked on a ladder to get to the second level in the play fort. I dug around the curly slide. Around 6pm we took care of the animals and then headed back inside. Adam woke up as we were headed back inside. Vikki called to see if we wanted to meet them (and my parents) at Big Boy for desert. We quickly ate dinner and then headed into town. Jacob fell asleep on the drive there. We sat around a big table. Adam had fun sitting by Aunt "Titty". She helped him color. He was facinated with the fan on the celing above him. I loved Jacob's expression on his face as I put some of my ice cream into a bowl for him. He had fun with Kenzie. We all had a nice visit.

Might want to get a little cover for that sand box with all those cats around...never know what kinda of surprises you might find it the sand box. Jacob when it finally does get warm in MI you can put water in the sand box. Its way cool to do in the summer

The sun will take care of what ever the cats put in the box. And Jacob can have a job of cleaning the big kitty litter box. I was delighted to see the box. And...Kimmy...doesn't it get you when what JB says is a good guess of 7 1/2 feet really turns out to be just that. How do they do that. Good to see the snow is gone. Now we need wind from the south.
