Jared left early for work again this morning. Jacob came into the bedroom around 9am. He cuddled with me for a little while before we got up. We got ready and went outside to take care of the animals. Jacob asked what we were having for breakfast. I gave him a few choices and he chose waffles, saying, “I love waffles”. Adam woke up at 10am. At 11:30 we headed to the bank. Then we stopped at Tim Horton’s for a cappuccino and Timbit (for Jacob). He shared some bites of his donut with Adam. We headed over to Mel’s house. On the way I saw a garbage truck on the side of the road. I rolled down Jacob’s window as we slowly drove past. Jacob said, “I wanna drive one dem, look, I get bigger, den, I do dat”. Jared was at Mel’s house when we got there around 12:30. Mel made lunch for the kids. Jared took the Geo to Ken’s house so he could change the rear wheel bearings. Vikki came over to take Mel to her Dr appt. Mel left for her appt but Vikki and the kids stayed with us. Vikki and I decided to take the kids down the road for slurpies at 7 Eleven. We pushed Adam in the stroller and pulled the other kids in the wagon. They loved choosing their flavors and the color of their straw. We took a walk around the block while they drank them. Mel came back as we were getting close to her driveway. The kids waved and were very excited to see her. Vikki left and then we took the kids outside to play. They played in the sandbox and on the swing. After a little while we decided to let them go for a swim. We didn’t bring Jacob’s trunks so he swam in his underware. Mel blew up a few floating things for them to play on. Adam didn’t like being in the water at all. Max was tired so Mel took him inside for a nap. Jacob and Hailey had so much fun playing in the water. They’d go back and forth playing in or out of the water. Adam loved going down the little slide. Ken got done with the Geo around 5pm. We headed over to Gander Mt to look at their camping things. Got a bigger cook set for using when we go camping. There was a great sale on a nice set. Went to a couple stores to exchanges some things. Then we walked around the mall and picked up Adam’s pictures from Sears. Got the boys some sunglasses from Children’s Place. Before going home we went out for dinner at Fazoli’s. Once we turned the corner, Jacob could see Fazoli’s. He said, “dere’s bazoli’s, its not bary far way”. It was after 8pm when we got home. Jared went outside to check on the animals. He was counting the chickens (we are missing one) and when he turned around he saw the baby skunk very close to him. He came running to the house and was laughing. Adam was very tired so I lay him down for bed. Jared, Jacob, and I went outside. Jared drove the tractor through the tall grass in the paddock by the chicken coop. He saw the skunk run into the barn. I saw him running through the barn. We went into the barn but couldn’t find him. We think he went in a hole that goes under the workshop. There was an awful skunk smell coming from under there. Skunks are known to kill chickens (one at a time) and love their eggs. We looked all over for our missing chicken. Its one of my favorite chickens and is also one of the ones that lays green eggs. Hopefully she’ll show up tomorrow. After Jacob was in bed I sewed a drawstring bag to hold the camping cook set.

Help...put some poison down the hole. Can't trap them, maybe shoot them. Go away skunk. I hate bad chicken stories. We just ate our second Michigan chicken. Yum, yum. Maybe that's another bad chicken story. It's time for bigger cooking set. The one that JB had is for one person. Now there are four. You've grown into new camping pots.

Adam is just too cute! What a great picture of him loving on the dog! And sitting there sipping a straw! And just sitting there with the other kids! He has gotten so big and appears so capable -- as if he is no longer a little boy.

I love all the pictures. The slurpie ones are great. And that one of Adam hugging Champ is so cute.

Adam sliding down the slide is now my screen saver. What a great little guy! I have the greatest little grandsons.
