Jared drove out the driveway this morning and the dogs started barking a lot. I got up to look out the window and see why. Our tent had blown into our neighbors yard and Jared was bringing it back. Jacob came down to the bedroom this morning around 8:30. He spread his blanket out on our bed and played with his cars for a little bit. Adam woke up around 9am. After breakfast the boys sat on the floor next to each other, looking at books. Adam loves to pick out a book and bring it over to me. He’ll hand it to me and then hold him arms out for me to pick him up. After were done reading the book, he’ll get down, walk a little ways, and then come right back for me to read again (though he may trade books first). When Jacob sees us reading he always comes over to climb up on my lap (or the arm of the chair) too. Jacob wore his vest this morning to play “struction worker”. He rode around on his green tractor with his John Deere keys in hand. When he was done “working” he had me untie his vest so he could take it off. He played at the counter with his blocks, tractors, tow truck, and semi truck. He is very creative with his blocks. Adam still hasn’t figured out that he can get on the couch by himself, even though he can climb up the back of the couch. He pulled the dump truck over to give him a step up. He then climbed up the back of the couch where he found Jacob’s tractors. I worked on a Camping list. The boys liked playing with the scrap pieces of paper. Adam sat on my lap to draw on his paper with my pen. While Adam was napping Jacob and I went outside. It was really hot out there. Jacob didn’t like being in the sun so he found some shade to play in. I got us some shovels and we played in a couple large molehills. I walked in the yard to look for the stakes for our tent. I’ve found three of the five missing stakes. Then I got out the kids pool and cleaned it up. Since Jacob doesn’t really like the sun I put it mostly in the shade. Then we went inside to get the slide. He played that pool even when there was only an inch of water. We wet the slide down so he would slide faster. He loved it and had so much fun. He’d lie down and pretend to take a nap, but wanted me to read to him first. Then he wanted me to hand him “one book” (he always sleeps with one) to have in bed. He ran around the garden and wanted me to spray him with the hose. I had the hose spraying on jet and Jacob would say, “dat feels bumpy”. He’d say, “spray my face, spray my belly, spray my butt”. As he continued to play I weeded the garden. He loved helping me water the plants with his sprinkling can. He got quite so I looked up to find him carrying Tiger (barn cat) and trying to put him in the pool. When I told him not to put the cat in the pool he said, “look, dat is a kiddy pool”. Jared called to say he’d be home from work late. Adam woke up around 5:30 and I got his trunks on. Jacob was really excited to play with him in the pool. Adam didn’t like it at first but soon was having just as much fun as Jacob. Jacob had Adam laughing when he’d wet his hands and pat Adam’s belly and back. Adam reached down to wet his own hands and then would pat his belly. He also liked sticking his face in the water. Jacob kept spraying his face with the hose and wanted me to take a picture of it. Then he’d run over to look at the picture and laugh at it. We went inside for dinner at 6:30. Soon after that Daddy came home. After dinner we went outside to take down the tent. Jacob and Adam carried apples to the chickens and horses. Adam hung onto his two large apple for awhile before giving them away. The horses wouldn’t come out from their lean too. Jacob climbed the gate and called their names really loudly. We headed into town to get a few groceries. We walked through the camping things and the toys also. When we got home we had a little playtime before their bath. After getting Adam out of the tub I lay him down to put on his diaper. He grabbed the baby bath soap. I thought the top was on but he had opened it and the soap was pouring into his mouth. Poor guy – yuck!

Poor Adam getting his mouth washed out with soap and he didnt' even say a bad word either
Sounds like there is another soap dispenser in the house. And...the kiddy pool just made me laugh. There is more than one way to think of the name for the pool. Never crossed my mind that the pool was for cats. What a smart grandson. Kimmy...you are having such good days with your boys. It passes way to soon. See you real soon.
I am glad that Grandma R is looking forward to the coming weeks when she will be able to have fun with 2 of her grandsons. However, I am still not looking forward to the time without news of Jacob and Adam -- oh, yes, and Jared and Kimmy. I hope that Kat is able to post fairly frequently with pictures of Andrew. . . and that Jason keeps up his current rate of posting pictures of Nolan. (No comment about your other cousin and HER rate of posting . . .)
Better now let Andrew see those swim suits...or he just might take the fish fish suits home
