Jacob and Adam's footprints in the sand
Kenzie, Jacob, and Adam's footprints.
This morning Jared and I woke up around 8am. Mom was up getting ready and Grandpa had been up for a couple hours. Soon Adam was also awake. Uncle Jared picked Kenzie up out of bed and carried her to the lake. He tried to get her in the lake but she had a tight grip and she only got wet feet. She went back in the camper and crawled into bed with Jacob. Jared took his shoes off his shoes and went back in for Kenzie. He took her back to the lake to stick her head in. Jacob woke up around 8:30. We relaxed around the campsite this morning. Around 10am Mom and I started packing a lunch for our trip this afternoon. We took a 40 min drive to a town we visited each year growing up. We walked out on a huge dock on Lake Huron. Grandpa, Kenzie, and Jacob brought their fishing pole and did some fishing. They got a few nibbles but no catches. The kids loved looking at the ducks in the lake. We took a break to have a picnic lunch on the dock. Then Mom, Jared, the boys and I took a walk on the dock. Grandpa and Kenzie continued fishing. Adam didn’t want to take his eyes off the ducks as we passed by them. Afterwards we walk through the shops in town. Grandpa sat on a picnic table under the pavilion while we shopped. When we got back Grandpa said he wanted to take us all out for ice cream at Dairy Queen. What a yummy treat on such a warm day. Mom, Grandpa, and Adam headed back to camp. We decided to stay and do some swimming on Lake Huron. Jared and Kenzie went in and said the water was freezing. Jacob and I just stuck our feet in. Then we took the kids to play at the playground. We got back to camp around 5:30. Jacob and Kenzie had fallen asleep in the car. Vikki was giving Adam some bites of his dinner when we got back. I gave Adam some watermelon and he loved it. Vikki, Kenzie and Jared went swimming in the lake. They were playing Monkey in the middle when Adam and I came over to the beach. I got Adam’s suit on and Aunt Bippi took him for a swim. When Jacob woke up he came and played on the beach. Nana gave the boys each a toy boat to play with. Nana also came over to swim. After Jacob ate some dinner we decided to go on a bike ride. Jacob asked to go golfing again and we all thought that sounded like a fun idea. He was so excited. Adam liked holding onto his ball. If any of us held him he’d say, “da (down)” right away and he'd lean towards the ground – that is except for Aunt “Bippi”. He never asked to get down when she held him. Jared and I tied for first place again tonight. We went for a bike ride. Came back to sit around the campfire and made smores. As we got ready to leave Grandpa looked at Jacob and said, “Jacob, you’re the best little boy I ever knew”. He and Jacob got really close when my Grandma was sick and I worked at the Vet. He always calls him his sleeping buddy. Got home around 12:30 am. We unpacked the car and left it in a pile to sort tomorrow. Both boys slept on the drive home.

What a nice weekend. So much fun with family. Loved every bit of the story.
I like the sunglasses pictures.
Nice pictures. (I did not read the commentary -- I just looked at the pictures. Sorry, Kimmy.) I,too, liked all the sunglasses pics -- I think the red ones on Jared are the best buy. I hope those are the ones that Jared got.
