This morning we woke up around 9am. The boys came in bed with us for a while. When I got Adam out of his crib he ran down the call saying, "Daddy, Daddy, I (hi) Daddy". We went to the 11am service because we woke up late again this week. I took Adam back to the nursury. A young girl sat down to play with him. He cried a little but I heard him stop almost as soon as I was out of the room. When they dismissed the other children I took Jacob back to his class. Last week he cried so "Miss" Emma sat with him. Then he was happy playing when we picked him up. This week he was back to himself. He quickly went to the front row and picked out a yellow chair. Then he turned and smiled at me as I left. Both boys were happy playing when we picked them up. Jacob was excited to show us the paper he had done. He helped put away toys before leaving. We had to stop at meijer for a couple things and didn't get home until almost 1pm. Had pizza for lunch. Adam napped from 2:30 to 5:30. While he was napping we went outside to work on the rooster's area. Jacob wanted to wear his "struction belt" again. It felt like it was going to rain, cool and breezy. We needed a couple more boards so Daddy and Jacob took a trip to Home Depot. I stayed and worked on nailing the fence to the top boards (added today) and wiring the fences together in the middle. While we put up the last two top boards Jacob played in the trailer. He loved playing with the bungee cords. Jared said as he was loading the boards onto the trailer he looked up and Jacob was dancing and singing a "struction worker" song. He had him show me when they came home and it was so cute. Before going inside Jared had Jacob load his tractor up onto the trailer. They tied it down with the bungee cords. Then they got in the car took it for a little drive. Jacob was so excited and loved hauling his tractor on the trailer. After dinner Jared went outside to shoot an big, ugly opossum we had in our trap. I ironed some close for Jared to take on his work trip. Daddy and the boys played with the foam blocks. Adam climbed on Daddy to give him a big hug. The boys were alseep by 9:30. We were in bed by 10. Jared has to leave for a 3 1/2 hr trip at 3am.

That rooster really has a big pad...Woo, woo for him. Great place to put the fence so you can watch him easily. What a guy. How long is the work trip? Something should be in the mailbox today. The construction little guys should be happy. I need pictures. It looks like Nolan has the same little tractor that Jacob has. Your blog gets me out of bed early! Great way to wake up.

Are you sure you shot him this time?? Must have been closer than 10 feet this time because we know you cant hit anything any farther away than that.

We don't know that Jared SHOT anything. All that Kimmy wrote is that HE WENT OUT TO SHOOT the raccoon.

What happened, Jared?

It was an opossum...not a RACCOON! Bro C...there is a huge difference. Don't know if the raccoon could have gotten in the trap. Oh well...it wasn't a skunk or cat.

I shot the opposum and was the same distance away, he is no more. And our chickens are safe once again.

Hi Love.

Keep up the good work. I'm impressed...only one bullet is what I think I'm hearing. How's the trap? Opssum must do the same things as skunks. Are they in the same family group?

Skunks are in the weasel family while oposumns are marsupials. Quite different.

wow it only took one shot...now why couldn't you do that with the skunk? Were you scared of the little skunk??
