Nana and Jacob watching the fireworks.
This morning Jared, Adam and I went out to sit in the dining fly around 6:30. Dad and Grandpa were out there already. Vikki asked I wanted to go get a coffee so we left to get cappuccinos. Adam loved waving at the vehicles that drove by. He’d wave and say, “I (hi)”. Nana, Kenzie, and Jacob were up around 8am. We took a bike ride this morning. Around 10:30 we went out on the paddleboats. Vikki, Jacob, Nana and I took went on one boat while Jared, Kenzie, and Adam on the other. It was really relaxing and fun. We stayed out for the 45 min allowed. After lunch we took the boys to swim in the pool. Jacob was so excited to go swimming in the “kiddy pool”. Jacob went right in and had so much fun. Adam didn’t want to sit in the floating dolphin but Jacob sure did. Vikki, Nana, Papa, and Kenzie were at the beach. After their swim in the lake they came for a swim in the pool. Nana took Adam in the big pool and he liked that. He enjoyed floating around in the dolphin by Nana. Uncle Jared and Kenzie played in the big pool. Jacob liked playing in the water on the steps. We went back to camp for a late lunch. After lunch we went to the store for ice cream cones. When we came back we took the boys to play in the sand on the beach. Kenzie and Uncle Jared went for a swim. Both boys took naps. Mom and Grandpa left around 4:45 to go to a pig roast. Adam woke up just in time for dinner. I woke Jacob so he would go to sleep well tonight. He wasn’t ready for dinner. Dad, Jared, Jacob, Adam and I went for a walk. Jacob rode his tricycle but soon got tired. He isn’t very good at peddling so he pushes with his feet. Papa took his tricycle back to camp and we continued walking. Jacob gets over quickly if there’s a car coming. Jacob pointed at one car saying, “dere’s a yellow mas-tang, I gonna wave at dem”. Both boys waved as they drove by. Papa took a while to catch up to us. Jacob kept asking, “where’d Papa go”. He’d say, “we need a wait for him”. As we turned the corner Jacob started crying saying, “I cared (scared), I wanna pine Papa”. We turned around and he was very excited to seem Papa coming. He ran to give him a big hug. This evening we had a campfire and made smores. There was a short storm that blew off the neighbors camper awning into the lake.
