Hailey's turn

Jacob came running down the hall this morning around 7:30am and sat on my lap. Then he moved to our bed and say next to Truman. Truman smelled Jacob's nose and Jacob looked at me holding his face and said, "TruTru smelled me". Adam had woke up around 6am, nursed and went back to sleep until 10am. Jacob was excited when he heard Max talking and he ran down the hall to see him saying, "Max awake Mama". The boys were excited to see each other and played in the room for a little bit. Then Max ran out to the couch and looked out the window. Max saw Jacob's pool and kept saying, "wader". Then he saw Tiger and said, "tiddy, meow". When the cat walked away he asked, "where'd he go?". They sat on phone book seats and watched Clifford, then it was time for breakfast. The neighbors were spreading manure on his field and they boys enjoyed watching the semi truck going up and down the field. When the truck left I told them they would probably be back, Jacob looked at me and said, "truck go get more poop mama".
They brushed their teeth and hair on the stool in the bathroom. Jacob helped brushed Max's hair. By the time they were done the manure truck was back and they watched him spread some more. I set two chairs up by the window so they could watch together. When Max got down Jacob stood one foot on each chair and said, "two chairs mama". Adam chewed on his toys and watched the boys playing. They played really well together. At snack time Jacob shared some of his snacks with Max. Every time Jacob would put one on the tray Max would say, "tant chew". Mom brought Hailey over and we ate lunch together. Hailey and Jacob ran around so excited to see each other. Hailey is staying with us and Max with my parents tonight. Jacob took a nap and Hailey rested - reading books and playing with her doll. I gave her one of Adam's bottles and she pretended to feed her baby. When Jacob woke up he lay on the air matress with Adam. Hailey sat next to Adam and said, "you should take a picture of all of us to put on your blog". I painted Hailey's finger and toenails. She said, "After your done will you pretend I'm a lady". I had locked the dogs back in our bedroom when Mom said she was coming over because Hailey is scared of them. When Jared got home he let them out to take the outside and Hailey was really scared and cried. We took the kids outside and let Truman run around out there. Hailey was still nervous with him loose but didn't cry and soon was ok. She and Jacob went down the slide many times and had so much fun. Then we took buckets, shovels, and a rake up to our big sandhill. On the walk up there Hailey said, "Truman come". Then she looked at me and said, "we don't want Truman to get lost, that would be sad". In the sand, Hailey and I built a big hill that her and Jacob liked to lay on top of. Jared asked Hailey if she wanted him to bury her feet in the sand. I walked over there with her and he buried all of our bare feet in the sand, including Adam's. Hailey and Jacob really seemed to enjoy that. We took a walk down our road and pulled Hailey and Jacob in the wagon, pushed Adam in the stroller. Hailey and Jacob had fun hanging onto Trumans leash. Jared found some milkweed and picked every dry one he could find and blew them for the kids. They were laughing and trying to catch them. Hailey would grab a handful and put it in Jacob's hair. When we were almost to our driveway, Hailey wanted out and wanted to pull Jacob in the wagon all by herself. Jared put the wagon away and I took the kids and Truman inside. As we walked in the house, Hailey pet Truman and excitedly told me so. Then when Jared came in she ran up to him and said, "I pet Truman Uncle Jared". He gave her a high five and told her that was great. She said, "You don't need to put Truman away, he's a nice dog. I like Truman". The kids were so excited that they were sleeping in the same room they could hardly sit still as I read to them. Both of them fell asleep really quickly.

What a busy place you have!

What are the laws in Michigan about day care homes? It seems you could have one fairly easily. You seem to be so relaxed and to offer such great opportunities to enjoy the day together. Get a couple of paying families and mix in some friendly relatives -- and presto! a day care home!

I don't know about day care laws or anything but that sure looks like a busy place. Speaking of which, your phone has been busy a long time too. I'd be willing to bet that one of them little buggers took the phone off the hook, my money is on Adam.
