On the way home from church today Jacob said,
"No home Mama, Nana's house". It was a beautiful day outside, so after lunch we took the kids outside. We sat in the grass and the boys smile when I blew a whistle with grass between my thumbs. Jacob covered Tiger(our barn cat) with his blanket. Then he went down the slide and I pushed Adam in the swing. Jared brought a ball out so they could play catch. Then, when Jacob was at the top of his slide, Jared would kick the ball really far. Jacob would say, "I got it, I got it" as he slid down the slide and tried to beat Daddy to the ball. Daddy threw the ball down the curly slide and Jacob wanted to try it. While the boys were napping, Jared went into town to get an adapter for hooking up the brush hog to our tractor. Adam woke up and I sat outside with him while waiting for Jared to get home. When Jacob woke up he was excited to watch Daddy cutting the grass with the tractor. We went outside and played in the sand. I got a turn on the tractor and it was fun. Jared really did a great job fixing our tractor - it now starts up better than it ever has. We prayed and I believe God helped him fix it. Tonight Jared had chips and finished up Bruce's homemade salsa. Jacob wanted a bowl with chips and he also got me some in a bowl. He brought them over to me and said, "Here mama". I had Adam laughing really hard tonight as I tickeled his belly. Jacob crawled up next to him on the couch and rubbed his head. Earlier today he was petting Adam's head and talking to him when he looked up at me and said, "Mama pet A-am's head". Jared was writing out checks this evening and Jacob stood there and watched (last picture).

Here are some before and after pictures of our pastures as we used the brush hog on them. Lots of fun! Jacob had fun playing in the sand. He ran down the big sand hill - at the bottom he fell fase first in the sand. He looked up at me and said, "I eat sand Mama" as he chomped his teeth together. Later he told me, "I pall down outside, I pall down sand Mama".

When I told Jacob we were going out for donuts this morning he said, "three donuts mama". Stopped at TSC on the way home so Jared could exchange a tractor part. The tractor wasn't working again this morning and Jared was ready to sell the thing. He worked on it today and now it is running good. Mom called and told us they were going to give us their couch and love seat. They had been to a moving sale and got some new furniture. The dogs are not allowed on these couches as they ruined our last couch. Kate likes to dig before laying down. I guess its time they started being treated like dogs (as Truman is curled up to Jared in our bed right now). We drove over to my parents to pick them up. They were just about the leave for a wedding - Vikki and Kenzie were there. We went outside and raked a pile of leaves for Kenzie and Jacob to play in. They loved to run and jump in the pile of leaves. Kenzie would hide Jacob's car at the bottom of the pile and they would dig to look for it. They both brought handfuls of leaves over and threw them on top of my head. Kenzie and I had lots of little pieces of leaves in our hair so we pulled them out for each other. On the way home we drove by dunkin donuts - Jacob noticed and said, "donut, donut Mama". The last picture is of the new couches in our house. They are really nice - Thank you Mom and Dad!

After feeding the outside animals, Jacob wanted to feed and water the dogs. He scooped some food out and said, "Date's dish, TruTru's dish, little bit please Mama". He put a little bit of food in each of their dishes. Mom called this morning and asked if they could come pick up their trailer. I told Jacob they were coming over and he put his arms in the air saying, "yeh". He was playing in his bedroom when the dogs started barking like they do when someone drive by or in the driveway. He came running out of the bedroom saying, "Nana here, Papa home". I told him they were not here yet and he walked back to his bedroom saying, "Awwhhh". Dad played with Adam, while Mom and I took Jacob outside. Mom had brought a huge back of apples for the horses. First we took some over to Nutmeg - Jacob and I threw some in for her. Then we went over to Sammy's stall where he was waiting. We put some in his dish and it was a slobbery mess when he was done. Jacob kept wanting to give him more. We also took some to the goats/sheep. The goats were loose so Jacob helped me chase them back in. Mom and I went back in to give Sammy some more attention. Jacob played on the tractor. Jacob climbed the apple tree and even tried to shake down some apples like he had seen us do the other day. This evening Jared put a new starter on the tractor because the old one was smoking. Jacob played with his truck in the barn. Yesterday, Jacob was sitting on the tractor and I noticed he was holding something in his hand. He proudly said, "look Mama" - it was a nice, round piece of goat poop. I told him what it was and right away he threw it down. After dinner we went to the mall to walk around. Jacob played in their play area. He saw a boy jumping from the pile of grapes over to some grapes a couple feet away. He said, "I try it". He tried it but only was able to land right next to the grapes he had jumped off of and ran over to the other grapes. Excitedly he ran back and said, "Again". He also thought it was fun to climb up to the top of the grapes and slide down head first. Then he ran over and belly slamed the strawberries and jumped up onto the big toothbrush landing on his knees. When I told him it was time to leave he said, "Play another minute please Mama, beep up". After the kids were in bed, a guy from Jareds work came over to help him work on the tractor. He had some things Jared though might help fix it. They figured out the problem and got it running. Now we will be able to try our new/old brush hog.

Jacob was excited to help me feed the animals this morning. He first ran over to climb the apple tree. Then he went in and put some cat food in all three dishes. Then I gave him a scoop of grain to carry over to Sammy. He made a little grunt as it was a little heavy. He dumped it in his dish and then spread it around with his hand. Sammy was right there waiting to eat and Jacob gave him a pat on the face.

Jacob came running down to our bedroom around 9am. I held him for a little bit and then he looked at me and said, "Lailey go Mama?". I told him that she went home with Uncle Bruce - he ran down to his bedroom, looked under the covers and then under the air mattress. Then he said, "Lailey go bye bye, Boo Mama". We lay together on the air mattress for awhile and then he decided to go get his blanket which he had left in our room. He came back, went to lay next to me and said, "Oh, Mama's blanket". He ran back down to our bedroom and brought a blanket for me. For breakfast he had a bowl of cheerios. He looked at me and said, "Help mama". Then in a frustrated tone he said, "Look, Mama, look" as he scooped a really big spoonful up - like he could get the right amount on that spoon. It was a nice, cool day outside. I took the boys out for a walk down our road and then Jacob played in the sand. He also loves to run in the yard with all the leaves. When Jared got home today he worked on fixing our tractor. Jacob played with his tractors in the barn, Adam played with his toys, and I cleaned Sammy's stall. Had pizza for dinner. Later, Jacob walked over to the fridge and opened it up. Then he looked over at me and said, "Cold cream, chocho good Mama" as he pointed at the freezer and fridge. I gave him a scoop of ice cream with chocolate on top.

The kids all woke up between 9 and 10am. Jacob first, Hailey, and then Adam. While I was getting my coffee this morning there was a huge spider in the kitchen. I told Hailey about it this morning and she said, "the other day my mommy killed a spider this big" showing me, with her hands, the size of a basketball. In the mornings when I let the dogs outside, they run to the door and Kate pushes the screen door open with her nose. When Hailey saw them she said, "they're running fast, they're crazy, that little one is crazy". Right after breakfast Jacob said, "a snack please mama". When I told him it wasn't snack time he said, "a beep up". I set the timer and told him when it beeped it would be snack time. He said, "Beeeeeep". Then he asked if he could play with the blocks and when I said yes he jumped around in a circle, clapping his hands. Jacob locked his bedroom door and then came out to play with us. I was trying to open it when Hailey said, "call the firemen and they will knock it down". I unscrewed the door knob and was able to get in that way. Jacob came up to me and said, "I tarry mama". Hailey told me the fireman would give me a new door. The kids had lots of fun playing together today. Hailey missed her parents and brother. She would say, "I look out the window and tell you when my mommy and Daddy are coming". Lately, when Jacob plays with his toys he likes to lay down while he's playing. Jacob took a short nap today and Hailey rested while playing with the barn and then painting. Hailey's Daddy came to pick her up around 6:30 and we left to get a few groceries in town.
