"Mommy, look at dis big egg"
Making cookies.
Eating cookies.
Look at that expression.
Cuddle time with Daddy.
The boys woke us up around 9am. As I poured the cheerios into bowls Jacob said, “I want that owie bowl”. When I asked him why that was an “owie” bowl he said, “dis red bowl matches the red owie on my toe” (yesterday he stubbed his toe). The boys had fun pretending their frisbees were steering wheels as they drove around the house. Jared folded laundry and I put it away. We sat on the couch and read books until it was time to get ready for church. After church we stopped at meijer for a few things. Daddy showed Jacob how to get someone wet by stomping in the puddles. When we got home we went to the coop to let the chickens out. Jacob collected them in the basket and counted them (we got 8). Adam had Daddy get him an apple from the tree. He had fun running back and forth thru the puddle and holding the apple. We had fried eggs sandwiches for lunch (no pizza today). While Adam was napping we made chocolate chip cookies. Jacob poured in all the ingredients. He liked tasting the brown sugar, sugar, and choc. chips. We had a lot of fun making the cookies together. Jacob liked watching them thru the oven window as they baked. They sure were yummy. Jacob liked laying with Daddy on the couch as they watched the race. Made chili for dinner. The boys each enjoyed a cookie after dinner. Its rained all day – I love the rain! After dinner we went outside. We took a walk down our road. The boys had fun in the rain and splashing thru the puddles. We saw the turkey family on the road. Once we were back in our driveway, they flew over our heads and some landed in the tree above us. The boys liked doing turkey calls like Daddy was doing. Once we were back inside we took the boys out of their wet clothes and put on their warm pj’s. Then the boys enjoyed some hot chocolate. After the boys got done brushing their teeth Jacob turned out the lights so they could see the blinking red lights on their toothbrushes. They were laughing so hard.

I hope you remembered to put in twice the amount of chocolate chips that are required in the recipe. That is a tradition handed down from Uncle Rick on the Russell side. Or, at least he is the one who passed it along to me.)
I like mine without chocolate chips - Jared thinks that strange. He likes extra chips.
No chocolate chips in chocolate chip cookies....I agree with Jared on that one..never heard of putting in twice the mount of chips either..have to try that next time we make cookies.
Remember? Guess you don't. There were times when I put in double the amount. It is an Ethelmae Russell thing as I remember it. Love the water pictures. Brings back crazy JB experiences. Adam walking in the water is the new screen saver. Daddy thought the walking in puddles was something from the past.
Just wondering were Jacob and Adam trying out for long jump for the olympics in 2020? Jared tried that when he was little but we all know how that turned out!
The dough is the cookie is just enough to hold the chocolate chips together. The dough is just enough to not make it a chocolate bar.
I thought I saw 3 or 4 turkeys in the pictures. One in the tree and others running on the ground.
Good brief and this post helped me alot in my college assignement. Thanks you seeking your information.
