Detective Jacob

Fingerpaint fun.

Jared made his own hat and scarf.
He should stay warm this winter

I was woke up around 4am to an elbow in my eye. I was sound asleep on my back and I'm not sure how his elbow got in my eye, but it sure did hurt. Jared said it hurt his elbow. This morning I did a little cleaning before the boys were up this morning. I was cleaning in the bathroom when I turned around and saw Jacob standing at the door. He laughed because he had scared me and said, “I wanna to do dat gen (again). Jacob helped me dust my bedroom and then helped me make our bed. Then he said, “Mommy, I got a good idea… I want a nack (snack)”. Usually he likes his milk in his cheerios, but some days he like dry cheerios and milk in a cup. This morning he said, “I want them sep-it (separate)”. We sat on the couch for breakfast. After breakfast Jacob wanted to start doing things on his chart. He brushed his teeth, combed his hair, and washed his face – then he ran to fill out his chart. Then he got himself dressed, made his bed (with a little help), and fed the dogs. Adam also likes to help feed the dogs. I put a little water in the container and he carried it to their water dish and poured it in quickly. I filled it back up and Jacob showed him how to pour it in slowly. The boys like to feed the dogs pieces of dog food out of their hands. Jacob likes to ask Truman to sit for a piece. Adam hands pieces to Truman saying, “too too, too too (Truman)”. Mom called and invited us to meet them for lunch. Today we celebrated Grandpa’s 92nd birthday. We picked Jared up on the way and got to the restaurant around 11:30. Mom, Dad, and Grandpa were already there. Jacob was excited to play with the cement truck that Nana had found at a garage sale. She also found a tractor for Adam. The boys and I ate some yummy pancakes for lunch. We had a nice visit. Dad took Jared back to his work. It was around 12:45 when we left. We stopped at the dollar store for some art things and then went to Walmart for a few groceries. When we got home we let the chickens out of their coop and collected the eggs. Jacob likes to carry the eggs with his shirt pulled up. He took the eggs to show Adam. Adam saw the bubbles and ran over to them saying, “Babas (bubbles)”. I lay Adam down for a late nap. Jacob and I had fun with glitter and glue. He then decorated his paper with stickers. Jared came home around 4:30. We went outside and worked on cutting down and piling up the trees/brush. The sections I worked on all had thorns. Jacob played on his eisle for awhile and then played with his cement truck. It felt like it was going to rain but it only sprinkled. Adam woke up around 6pm. After dinner we went on the deck and played with finger paint. That was lots of fun. Then we brought the boys in for a bubble bath. Jacob always likes the shower on after his bath. Adam doesn’t usually like it but today he loved it. After Adam was in bed Jacob did a little coloring with some markers.

I am so impressed. Finger painting on the deck. There is nothing better. I'm surprised that the shirts of all three weren't covered with paint. Glitter...there is nothing better. More bushes out. Wow...You might be called Paul Bunyons. Are you going to the edge of the property. Wow...you can see the road. When in the hot dog roast? Eggs in the shirt. Their great grandma would use her apron to carry eggs as well as huge baskets. That's what hundreds of layers would deliver. Tell grandpa Happy Birthday. That's a lot of years. Choir retreat today. Thurs. tuckered me out big time so Friday was sit and watch the hurricane and sleep. Still healing. Hope the doughnut holes are good today.

When I first looked at the pictures it looked like it had snowed and then I knew why I was in Big R - no snow here most of the year. Then I realized what was going on. (Takes us OLDER ones a while). Instead of watching the hurricane on TV come and down and watch it in person.
