Before we went outside Adam grabbed Daddy's hat and tried it on.

Watching a spider. The spider got buried and lost. Jacob said, "thats ok, it went way over there, with God".

Making sand angels.

First thing this morning Jacob got on his tractor and pulled his cart around with his blanket in it. Then he and I watched Curious George. Soon after it was over Adam woke up. After breakfast I got out the Little People basket of toys, the barn, and the car wash to play with. Then we sat at the counter and colored. Jacob drew a circle building with windows and a door. We went outside. The boys helped me wash the Vibe. We filled up Jacob’s tractor cart with soap and water. Jacob helped me until the car was finished. Adam had fun playing in the water and washed the car a little, but soon found the no spill bubbles and had fun blowing them. We brought out his tractor and he had fun pushing that around also. When we went back in the house it was around lunchtime. Jacob brought an egg (little ball) over to me and said, “be reeally quiet, it’s in my hand leeping (sleeping), him warm. He handed it to me, smiled, and said, “Crack, there’s a baby chick”. Then he pretended to grab to “chick” (leaving the ball) and said, “Mommy, I take that out-a egg”. He walked away talking to the “chick” and said, “I’m gonna put you in the coop with the hens”. Around 1:30 we went to meijer to do some grocery shopping. Adam fell asleep in the car on the drive there and continued sleeping in the cart for about 20 minutes. Jacob had fun playing with an Etch-a-sketch. We got home around 3:30. I put away groceries and started some laundry. Jacob played with his foam blocks. I lay Adam down for a nap but he just sat in his crib talking. While dinner was cooking I read books to the boys. Adam really likes this Bob the Builder book. He’ll bring it over to me saying, “Bob BeBo”. When I ask him if he wants me to read Bob the Builder he nods his head and runs for the chair. Today Jacob has loved the book, “The Grouchy Ladybug”. After dinner Daddy asked Jacob if he wanted to go outside and collect the eggs. He told Daddy that he just wanted to stay inside and play with him. Adam and I went outside to collect them. Adam carried the basket and stopped a few times on the way to put rocks in the basket. Adam collected the six eggs from the layer boxes. I thought they’d brake as he tossed them in the basket but they must be pretty tough. He was very careful when he carried the basket back up to the house. He hung on with two hands and seemed very proud of himself. After he showed Daddy we took them to the fridge. I held the carton as he put the eggs in. Then he wanted to take the carton to show Daddy. Jared had class tonight. The boys and I went outside and played on the big sand hill. We had lots of fun. Jacob and I sat and dug with the tractor to fill up his little dump truck. He asked me to "dig a pond". Adam ran around, occasionally stopping to push his tractor in the sand or pet the cat. We made sand angels. When I went to make one, Jacob wanted to find me a really good spot. Then he brushed the sand with his hand to get it "ready for me". We had fun blowing out all the milkweed pods we could find up there. It was around 8pm when we went inside for bath time. After reading, I took Adam to tuck him in. Jacob helped me clean up the toys. He likes to put the lid on the upside-down stool and pretend it’s a dump truck. I pretended to be a dump truck as I filled up my shirt with blocks from around the room and dumped them into the bucket. Jacob laughed at me. We have fun singing the “clean up” song as we pick things up. After we finished reading, I asked Jacob if he wanted to cuddle in the rocking chair and sing songs. He was really excited. We sang every song we could think of many times. Then we just talked and cuddled. We pretended to be a boat rocking. Jacob would say, “oh no, here comes a whale”. He fell asleep quickly after I tucked him in bed.

I love the pictures of Adam trying on daddy's hat and the one of him smiling so huge. And I love what Jacob said about the egg and baby chick.

Another great day of fun with the boys. The third picture of Adam and those big brown eyes looking out under the hat is one that captures a lot of what Adam is. I see a fun mischievious little kid that reminds me of JB SO much. Thanks for the window of pictures and words about your day.
