Jacob woke up at 7:30 and Adam was up by 8:15. Jacob watched Curious George. I finished up Adam's chart and he enjoyed that. Adam and I have "colds". He was rather fussy this morning. He has started calling me "Mama" only when he's begging for somethings he wants. Several times today I've had to stop him from hitting Jacob. I tell him "no hitting, be gentle" and then he'll rub Jacob gently. Then I'll let him know if he hits him again I'm going to have to use "the gate". When he hears that, he typically falls to the floor. He doesn't like when I mention "the gate". We played duck, duck, goose and all had fun with that. While Adam was napping Jacob and I sorted the broken crayon pieces into cupcake papers. Then we baked them in the oven. Jacob loved helping me sort them. He also had fun peeling the papers off after I cut down one side of the paper. He'd then hold the unwrapped crayon over the cupcake paper and say, "dat one right there?". When I'd say, "yes" he'd reply "oh". He made a garbage truck out of his blocks and used his tractor to hall garbage (crayon papers). Adam woke up and wanted to cuddle in the rocking chair with me. Mel called and was having problems with her blog. The boys ran to hide in the closet. Adam started crying hard so I let Mel go and went to check on the boys. When I asked Jacob if he knew what happened, he said, "I bit him on his hand". Sure enough there were teeth marks on his little hand. Thats the first time Jacob has ever bitten. Reminds me of when my sister Mel bit me on my head. Daddy and Jacob drove the trash to the dumpster down the road. Adam heard the tractor and wanted to go for a ride also. He got to ride on Daddy's lap as Jacob and I rode in the cart behind the tractor. The boys helped me water the chickens. Jacob wanted to fill a container up with water all by himself. Adam helped me carry one back to the coop. Jacob helped me shake apples out of the tree. Then he filled his little wagon and took them to the horses. Adam carried some also. Jared picked corn from the garden that I'm going to freeze. I gave Adam pushes in the swing. Then Jacob got a turn in the swing. We went out to fazoli's for dinner. It was 8pm when we got back home. Jacob had fallen asleep and stayed asleep on the couch. He woke up when I changed him into his pj's but only enought to sing a few songs and pray. Adam had fun playing with the ball and Daddy.

I did finally get it to work. Bruce helped me figure out the problem before he had to leave for work. It still acts up and won't let me publish sometimes, but at least he showed me what to do to get it to work even if it only lasts a short while. I got what I needed for tonight published.

Lela, thank you for the camping pictures. We got them in the mail today (yesterday). I had to laugh at the one of Dennis pulling out that stuck vase. Adam loved the one of he and "Bampa". He smiled as he held the picture and staired at it. When I'd put it in the pile and try to give him another one to look at, he'd beg sayind, "Bampa, Bampa" until I gave him that one. Love the pancake breakfast pictures. Yesterday I asked Jacob who made the best pancakes he said, "GRANDMA".

Ah, biting! Reminds of stories of my brother Rick, a notorious biter. He was so famous for biting that I once put tooth marks on my own arm and told my mother that Rick bit me. Unfortunately I forgot to take into account that the size of a mouth differs with age (remember he is EIGHT years older than I) . . . Rick did not get into the trouble I was hoping he would get. Rats!

Next time you melt down crayons into cupcake crayons, do a couple without sorting the colors. Then you get fun, multi-colored, rainbow crayons to use!

Pictures are such a good reminder of our great summer camping with the best of all neighbors. Let's keep Jacob in the dark about the pancake mix. My bubble will be burst.
