Adam brings me pieces from Jacob's chart and said, "uh oh".
Brothers having fun.
The boys love the new hallway night light. Adam ran right to it when we got home tonight.
Such a handsome little guy.
Where's Adam?
Fun with Daddy.
Time to brush our teeth. "Mommy can we turn out the lights yet?"
Jared left around 4:30 for work in Indiana. Jacob woke up to use the potty at 5:30. I asked him if he wanted to come lay in our bed. We both fell asleep quickly. I woke up to Adam’s talking at 8:30. Jacob was up soon after that. They both wanted to sit in front of the new hallway nightlight and stair at it. After breakfast Jacob asked if we could get out the racetrack. We played with that for a while and had lots of fun. The boys liked setting blocks on the track for the car to hit. Jacob made bridges for it to go under. Today I organized and cleaned out Adam’s closet. There were lots of clothes bags in there so I took them out and sorted them for storage down in the crawl space. The boys loved going thru the toy box in Adam’s closet. Then I organized the entrance closet. Jacob and Adam enjoyed trying on all the hats and mittens. Adam likes to point at my eyes, nose, mouth or ears when I ask him where they are. He always says “beep beep” when I say, “where’s my nose?”. He brushed the hair behind my ears to see both ears and then he brushed it back in front of my ears after he had seen them. For lunch we made mac-n-cheese. Jacob always likes to pour in the cheese. Adam saw him helping and came running over to help also. He helped me pour in the milk. After lunch Jacob played with his cash register. Adam napped from 2-4pm. Jacob rested while playing with his cement truck, tow truck, and tractor. I got some laundry started. Jacob and I lay on the bed and read the book, Katy and the BIG SNOW (his new favorite). Jacob played at the counter with a few matchbox cars and the fire station. Adam colored. After dinner Jacob came over to me with the egg basket and asked if we could go out and collect the eggs. We went into the coop and I noticed they were out of water. Jacob went to collect the eggs and I bent over to grab the water container. That’s when I noticed a little black and white creature (skunk) under the layer boxes just about a foot away from me. I grabbed Jacob and hurried out of there. I went back to shut the door though I wasn’t sure what we’d do from there. We headed over to the library. On the way I was singing “Row Row Row your Boat”. Adam sang it with us saying, “Row Row Row” during the entire song as he bobbed his head. When we’d get done he’d say, “daa (again)”. Mel and her family also came and Jared met us there too. Jared and Bruce stayed out with Adam and Jack. Mel and I took Hailey, Max and Jacob in for their “Circle Time”. They started off by reading a book. Then all the kids stood up to sing “I’m gonna shake my sillys out”. Jacob acted shy and sat down during this song. The lady said the poem “Little Boy Blue” while putting pictures onto the felt board. She then passed out felt pieces to each child for the next story. Jacob was excited to get a felt chicken. Max was ready right away to go up and put his piece in the boat. He kept thinking it was his turn. All the kids enjoyed putting their pieces in the boat. The lady got out a bag with animal puppets and we sang, “Old McDonald had a Farm”. Last was the story “Three Billy Goats Gruff”. They sure loved that story. Afterwards all the kids could get a goat stamp on their hand. Jacob preferred the stamp put on his paper. The kids enjoyed playing with the animals on the felt board and the goats and the bridge. Jacob liked making the goat walk over the bridge. We took the kids to play on the train table. Then we went over to play with the puppets behind the puppet stage. We got home around 8:30. Jared opened the coop door but we couldn’t get the thing to come out. He tried banging on the coop but the thing still won’t come out. It did lift its tail once but never sprayed. Well, it’s still in there. Jared set the trap right outside the door, so well see.

oh man the stunk saga continues...ummmm I wonder if kate learned her lesson the first time..you can find out if she got any smarter after the first time..just open the door and see what happens and how did the stunk get in the coop in the first place..hopefully he doesn't get any chickens...jared could just shoot him there in the coop.
I also think the gun is the best solution. That is if you can hit the darn thing. How about inviting the chickens out and then use the gun. I think the chickens would appreciate that. Country living! Library time sounds like fun.
You might be able to take the hose and see if you cant hose him out and have Jared at the door with the gun ready to go. Heck he couldn't hit the skunk in the trap last time maybe this time he could hit a moving target!
Good day. Kids in Mr. Dee's class used to love acting out The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We made a bridge out of chairs and desks and always had a troll under the desk. Hearing the troll-voices was always a treat -- especially those that came out of the usually quiet, soft-spoken kids.
I'm seeing sweatshirts...Humm...must be colder in MI then Indiana. Stay warm.
That was fun going to the library for story time. The kids sure loved it. Thanks for letting us know about it. We'll have to do it again soon.
Skunk 1 MI Russell's 0. Chicken eggs are really good esp raw like I like them. Don't have to hunt them up just walk right in and eat
