Every morning now Adam likes to drink the milk from his bowl. He's usually stays clean but this morning he got a little messy.

Adam walked around with this on his head.

Jared likes to do this to me. As soon as I push the button to take the picture he'll change from a smile to a silly face. He has my camera timed perfectly.

Finally he let me take a smiling one.

He ate much more than what he got on his yarn.

Adam woke up as Daddy was leaving this morning. His clothes were wet when I went in to check on him. After getting him cleaned up I took him out so we could cuddle in the rocking chair. He snuggled his cheek right next to mine. After a while I lay him back in his crib and he fell right to sleep. Jacob came into the bedroom around 8:30. We got up at 9am. He and I played by the couch with his matchbox cars. Soon after that Adam was awake. He wanted to play with his cars as he knelt by the couch also. It was a cool, rainy morning. After breakfast I got the boys dressed to go outside. It was raining but slowed down to a light sprinkle by the time we got out there. The boys rode in the driveway on their tricycle and tractor. Then we let the chickens out and checked for eggs. Adam reached at the apple tree saying, “bopple, ausey”. I got a little wet as I pulled the apples off the tree, not thinking of the wet leaves on the branch. I should have thought of them because Jared likes to shake the branches when I’m under a wet tree. Jacob ran over to play on his fort and Adam asked to swing. Jacob had fun going down the wet slide several times. After Adam’s turn on the swing Jacob was ready for his turn. It started to rain a little but didn’t last long. We took a walk down our road. Jacob shuffled his boots as he walked on the dirt road and then turn around to say, “look at my lines”. Adam copied him and shuffled his feet too. He liked to pick up handfuls of little, muddy rocks and then throw them. The boys had cold little hand when we went back inside and Jacob was asking for hot chocolate. I checked the cupboard but we were out. After lunch Jacob played with his moon sand at the counter. He liked making “sand castles” with a bowl. Adam begged to sit next to him so I set him up there and he played with some blocks. The last couple days I have to laugh when I take Jacob to use the bathroom, because Adam stands right by Jacob. He lifts his shirt and looks down at his pants while saying, “Mommy, Mommy”. He is happy when I pull his pants down and he stands there until Jacob is done. Then we sat on the couch and read books. Adam was up and down because the books we were reading were too long for him. Jacob loves every minute of reading. He likes to look at the pictures and ask questions or point out things to me. Adam napped from 2-5pm. Jacob watched his bulldozer video. The boys helped me unload the silverware from the dishwasher. Jacob pushed his chair up to the silverware cupboard and then Adam followed. They put all the silverware away for me. I gave them a couple pans and they had fun putting blocks in them. Jacob told me he was making “block dinner”. He put his pan in the “oven” (on the chair under the table). Then he set it on the table and told me dinner was ready. He had me pray and then passed some blocks out for each of us. He told me we were eating turkey sandwiches, corn on the cob, and mac-n-cheese. This evening as we were making dinner the electricity went out. We were able to finish making dinner with the heat we had left on the stove and in the oven. After dinner we went outside. It was rainy and cool. At first Adam didn’t care for Daddy in the hat he was wearing. We took a walk on the road. As a car headed in our direction Jacob grabbed a tight grip onto Adam’s jacket to make sure he didn’t walk onto the road. As we walked I held onto Jared’s hand. Jacob came over to grab my other hand. He smiled up at me and walked there holding my hand for a while. After he let go Adam came over to hold my hand. What sweet boys I have. Jacob came over and wanted to hold my hand again but Adam wasn’t letting go. Jared let him take my other hand and Jacob held Daddy’s hand also. Adam looked like he wanted to go in the ditch so Daddy walked down into the ditch with the boys. We still had no electricity when we went back in the house. Jared had picked up hot chocolate on the way home but we had no way to heat the water. We got out the yarn and fruit loops to make necklaces and bracelets. Jared made me a bracelet. I made Jacob a necklace. Jacob was so busy munching on them he didn’t get a lot on his. The power came back during this time. It was out for 1 ½ to 2 hrs. Jacob right away asked for some hot chocolate so I made them some. Adam sure was giggling hard as Jacob hid behind the rocking chair that he was sitting on. Jacob would peek around and tickle him.

I'm trying to figure out if Jared is practicing for the NBA in those pants or if he is still vertically challenged.
Now that is not nice!!!
I'll slap my own paws for that one.

Adam must take after Nana. When I did that and Mark was little he said, Aunt Penny Do as he drank from his bowl. Grandpa has never let me forget it and still says it when we have breakfast while camping and I drink from my bowl.
Nice pictures of Jared and the boys. Who had more fun making the necklaces and bracelets???? Love ya

Adam may have learned drinking from his bowl from me (I learned it from Mom). Maybe Nolan will teach him to stick his butt out at the camera:)
Mom, when I drink from my bowl I always think of Grandpa saying, "Aunt Penny do it". He said it every time he caught us drinking from our bowl during breakfast. I remember trying not to let him catch me drinking from my bowl. Its a great memory. That and his "up up up up up" during Tonk when we go to grab a card and it wasn't our turn.
