Jacob is making "green pie".

Adam is looking at "Bampa's" picture.

Jacob wanted me to take this picture. He is walking along the deck rail.

Adam is "peeing" or at least he wants to. He'll lift his shirt and say, "pee".

Dog's would like to join our picnic.

Jacob said I should take this picture, "its really cute".

Adam kissing Truman thru the screen door.

Adam woke up around 7:30. I changed his diaper and then took him to the rocking chair for some cuddle time. I sang some song and talked together. He’s so much fun to talk to because he really listens intensly with them big brown eyes and nodd of the head (while moving his jaw up and down). We read several books, several times. When he wanted me to read the Bob the Builder book he’d say, “Ba (Bob)”. I lay him back down around 8am. Jacob woke up at 8:30. We cuddled by the computer while looking at pictures of dump trucks and tractors. Then he wanted to watch the video of the bullet train. Adam got up at 9am. We read books on the couch. Then Jacob said he wanted pancakes for breakfast. The boys liked helping me. Jacob carried the cord and Adam helped me carry the griddle. They must have been really good pancakes because Jacob said, “umm, they taste like Grandma’s”. Jacob wanted to look at the pile of Copper Harbor pictures from Grandma. Right away Adam was asking for the picture of he and Grandpa. He took it over by the couch and sat down to look at it for a while. Jacob kept saying, "I wanna go see Grandpa". Jacob broke pieces of cornhusk and put them into cupcake papers saying he was making “pies, green pies”. Then he dumped the bucket of blocks. He had them all over the house by pushing them with his plow (stool). I did a little sewing on my machine. At lunchtime Jacob asked if we could have a picnic on the deck. We ate lunch out there. The weather was perfect. Cool and sunny. After lunch Jacob said, “I don’t wanna go in, I just wanna stay out here for awhile. He went inside to get some things for him and Adam to play with. I hadn’t brought my camera out there but Jacob was climbing on the deck side rails and said, “you must get your camera and take a picture of me”. Jacob said, “were doing a lot of things out here”. We went back inside at Adam’s naptime. Jacob watched his bulldozer video and played with his trains. I lay on the floor to play with Jacob and his trains. A little later he brought me the phone and said he wanted to call Aunt “Meme”. He talked to her and told her that his train derrick could pick up the milk. Mel understood milk and train but didn’t know what he was talking about. He handed the phone to me and said, “I want you to tell her". He just figured out that his Thomas train crane could pick up the jug of milk that came with his train set because they area magnetized. I shucked the corn and Jacob haled it over to the table using his dump truck. He loved seeing the little pieces of corn and would say, “awh, a baby corn”. He helped me clean up after we were done. We went outside to collect the eggs. Jared got home around 4pm. I was feeling awful so I lay on the couch to rest. Adam woke up and came to cuddle on the couch with me. After he got down Jacob climbed up to lay with me. We went outside on the deck until dinnertime. After dinner I lay down again for a little while. Much of my time resting I had one or both boys on me, I loved it. I got the little people school bus slammed down on my lip. Adam stood on me and danced to the music that the bus played. The boys liked looking out the window at the chickens. We played a few games of Jenga with Jacob. He was really good and only lost one game. Adam brought over one of his blocks and put it on top. He also knocked it over after we had just set it up - how could he resist. Adam asked to get out the tunnel so we played in that for a while. Daddy walked around with it over him and that had the boys laughing. Around 8pm we went for a walk down our road. The boys had fun pretending to drive and picking up rocks. There were many bats flying over us. Jared liked throwing rocks up and watching them dive down right by us. His goal was to try and get the bat to hit him but that didn’t happen. Several times I heard him say, “uh oh, that’s ones coming by you”. I didn’t want any bats flying into me. It was fun to watch them dive by us though. After the boys brushed their teeth they played with the cars for a little while before bedtime stories.

I love the picture of Adam pretending to pee off the deck. It's so cute how he wants to do everything like his big brother.

New screen saver...Adam looking at Bampa's picture. There seems to be a new saver every day. Happy to hear that you have nice days to outside. I'm beginning to clean up the flowerbeds. Cut some raggy looking hostas off yesterday. Take care. Love you much.

Good day in Michigan.

I have a request, Kimmy: could you please take photos of the boys' work charts so those of us who live far away can see them?

Also, can you show us THE GATE? It is not necessary to show it in action, with Adam on one side and the rest of the world on the other.

Maybe Grandma needs to get up to Michigan to remind them of what real pancakes taste like. . .

Bro C...Kimmy has the same box of pancake mix that I have. The secret ingredent is...who has their hand on the mixing spoon and flipping tool.
