Jacob came and lay in bed with me at 7:30. We got up at around 8:30 and Adam was up soon after that. After breakfast we sat on the couch and read books. Then I got out the Little People car wash/gas station, cars and people for them to play with. They played with that in our bedroom while I cleaned the bedroom and the bathrooms. After lunch I dusted and vacuumed the living room. Jacob played with his moon sand and Adam pushed the dump truck and played with his link toys. While Adam was napping I cleaned the kitchen. I was glad to get the cleaning done today. Then Jacob and I sat at the table and painted. He kept looking at me and saying, “look, I love you”. Adam woke up around 4:00. He sat at the table and wanted to paint also. After that the boys ran around the house with each other. The sure were laughing hard. Jacob threw a bit of a fit because Adam picked up the phone that Jacob was using before we had started painting. Jacob cried, “but I had it first”. Soon he was begging Adam to run with him again to which Adam nodded his head in agreement. When Daddy came home from work we all “dog piled” on top of him for a big hug on the floor. The boys had fun getting “horsey rides” on Daddy’s back. Jacob asked to go outside and play on the sand hill. We went out there until dinnertime. When we came in the boys ate dinner but Jared and I waited to have pizza with Mel and her family. We left around 7:15 and headed over to Bruce's work. It's Bruce's birthday today - Happy Birthday Bruce. The company next to his work has a nice fireworks display each year, so we went there to watch it with Mel and her family. Jacob fell asleep on the way there. We went inside and had pizza. Jacob sat on Daddy's lap while he woke up. Hailey sat by them and said, "good friends sit by each other". Jack got fussy so I held him while Mel finished eating her pizza. Adam saw me holding him and wanted up on my lap. He rubbed Jack's head and smiled at him - it was so sweet. Once the fireworks started the kids got really excited and we went outside to watch. Adam liked watching the fireworks as long as I was holding him. Jacob wiggled in his seat and clapped excitedly the whole time. Max wanted to sit on his chair in the van by his Mommy. Hailey and Jacob were saying they sounded like popcorn. Max heard them and then started saying "popcorn" at each one. When I asked him if it sounded like popcorn he said, "wes it does". I went to sit by Jacob and he held my hand. He turned to Hailey, who was covering her ears and loudly asked, "you like that one Hailey?" When the fireworks were done Jacob asked, "why are they all done?". The kids had fun playing together for a while after they were done. We got home around 10pm. When I asked Jacob what were his favorite fireworks he said, "pink ones, green ones and barkely(sparkely) ones".
