Adam woke up chatting around 7:30. We all were up by 8am. We ate breakfast and then cleaned up the camper. The boys loved helping me vaccuum. Then we went for a walk. Jacob rode his tricycle. After packing a lunch, we were on the road by 10:30. We ate lunch on the drive up north. We got there around 2pm. Adam got fussy towards the end of the trip. First we hiked on the trail to the overlook where Jared proposed to me on our engagement day. Jacob did a great job hiking. Adam rode in the backpack. Jacob would run ahead of us and then back to us. Once he told us, "my cheeks went up and down" as he grabbed his cheeks. On the hike back Jacob pretended his stick was a lawn mower. He got Daddy a stick so he could mow too. Then they pretended the sticks were gates. We took a drive to a place where you can hike the dunes out to the lake. First you hike thru a sandy trail in the woods which takes you to the dunes. Jacob smoothed out the sand and said, "I'm writing my name in the sand". He drew a bunch of J's in the sand with his stick. We laughed when a couple stopped us to tell us we were brave. They said they have kids around the age of our and said their kids were staying with Grandma. When we got to the dunes we hiked up on the top ledge and there was a drop on both sides. Jacob had fun sliding down the sand dunes on his butt. Once we got to the beach the boys had fun playing in the sand and water. Jacob loves to dig deep holes in the sand with his hands. Adam liked throwing rocks in the water and laying down in the warm sand. Jacob did a great job hiking. I did carry him some on the hike back. Adam got out to walk in the sand on the trail thru the woods. We all enjoyed the cool sand on our bare feet. We went out to Fazoli's for dinner. The boys fell asleep at around 9pm on the drive home. We got home around 11pm.
