She can easily find the b.b. no matter how we mix it up.

Painting the paper mache bowls.

Before
Here's the progress so far

Kenzie wanted scrambled eggs this morning for breakfast. She left with Uncle Jared around 6:30. Jacob woke up around 7:30 asking for Kenzie. Adam also woke up. I changed Adam and he went back to sleep until 8:30. Jacob lay in his bed until shortly after 8am. Adam loves when we read to him. He'll bring me a book and I'll ask him "you want me to read to you?". He nodds his head and excitedly runs to the couch or chair. One of his favorite books is called, "A Very Stripey Flap Book". He loves to lift up the flap and see who's hiding under it. When we get done reading a book Adam always say, "daa (again)". Soon Jacob came over to read with us and they took turns lifting the flaps. At 11am we headed into town. I had to fill out a background check form for the childcare job at the church. Then we headed over to a nearby park to play and have lunch. The boys had a lot of fun playing on the ship. Jacob liked pretending he was "Captain Jacob". He said, "I'm Captain Jacob, you Captain Mommy, there's Captain Adam, Captain Daddy, Captain Kenny (Kenzie), Captain Truman, Captain Kate". Adam wanted to go down the ramp like Jacob was doing. He sat on his butt and scooted down it slowly. Jacob helped him at the bottom. The boys giggled as they walked backwards to the car. We stopped at Salvation Army. I found a nice Children's Place winter jacket for Jacob. We got home around 1:45. Both boys took naps this afternoon. Jacob slept until almost 5pm. Adam woke up soon after that. The weather today was nice and cool. I went outside and piled up some of the trees Jared had cut down. Jared picked up Kenzie so she could spend the night again. The boys were excited to see her. She brought a chicken (the new Betty) in the house. After dinner we headed over to the library. I took Jacob to the "Circle Time", which is a 30 minute program for 2-3 year olds. They read stories and have lots of fun finger plays, puppet shows, songs, and other activities. After the story (about a monkey) they passed out a felt tails so each of the kids could take turns putting it on the monkey. They also did some activities and a song. Jacob's favorite was the puppet show. Afterwards he enjoyed being able to hold the puppets and got a monkey stamp on his paper. The boys had fun playing on the train table for a little while. Then Kenzie and I put on a puppet show. Jacob also wore a construction man puppet who he said was Bob the Builder. When we got home the kids had fun painting their paper mache bowls. Before laying Adam in his crib lately he asks for me to take him over to the wall hanging in his bedroom. He likes to give the dog and cat hugs and kisses. He also likes to point at their eyes, nose, and ears or pet them. After we sang a couple songs he pointed to my eye and said, "eye", then he pointed at each of my ears and said, "ow (ear)", and then my nose and said, "beep beep". When I started to pray he quickly folded his hands.

What an exciting place your home is! The papier mache bowls are lovely -- and the new landscaping is, too -- and so is the hen -- and your boys are so talented to be able to walk backwards! Isn't it cool how an older brother can spur his younger brother's development?
